- Sasuke Ameno is Instant, which is superior to Naruto RSM Speed.
- Naruto use Sensing to react and Sasuke use Precognition to react.

- Naruto having a quicker body/foot/hand speed helped with cutting Kaguya.

Sasuke on the other hand Ameno was restricted by Kishimoto himself for very good reasons.

1) Kaguya was out of chakra due to being forced to switch dimensions to escape Sasuke's attack and it's confirmed that her speed is proportional to how much chakra she has left.

Actually Ameno can change body position. It made a sword that was embedded in the ground face upward so that it could stab Madara, and when Sasuke was blow away by Kaguya Sasuke used Ameno to send himself into Naruto flying in the opposite direction.

Maybe i should've been more specific. Sasuke has to be in attack position, Ameno doesn't do that for him.
Otherwise he wouldn't have told naruto to aim his attack towards him.

I thought about creating that thread a while back when the whole speed deal was still being discussed. Unfortunately, judging by how my thread explaining the difference between combat and movement speed turned out, it doesn't seem like people like to face facts so I was not overly excited about doing it anymore. Although things calmed down a bit since then so maybe now is the time to do it.

You failed to understand how S/T jutsu works. S/T jutsu allows the user to travel at the speed of light, their movement is instant, but there are two important things people must understand about S/T jutsu.

1- S/T user can't attack while using their S/T, they must attack prior or after the S/T is used. While the user is using the S/T jutsu they can't attack because they are not in the same dimension. When the user activates the jutsu they disappear and they must wait until the S/T jutsu ends (reappear) before they can attack. IE:When Sasuke attacked Madara while he was transforming he first had to reappear before he could attack -

2- The S/T user physical speed doesn't increase. The user's movement is faster because the S/T jutsu allows them to travel at the speed of light through dimension, but that's the jutsu speed. Their physical speed remains the same, so if they attack someone that's physically faster than them there is a change the S/T user attack might be evaded or countered.

Ameno is a S/T jutsu and must follow the S/T jutsu rules and limitations.

Ameno was never restricted. The scenes were drawn different to reflect the difference in speed between Naruto/Kaguya and Madara. Madara is slower than Naruto and Kaguya so he couldn't react to Ameno the same way as Naruto and Kaguya. Naruto was so fast that Sasuke had to create a diversion to distract before he used Ameno and attacked Naruto -

Overall Naruto and Sasuke are equal in speed. Naruto's physical/body speed is superior while Sasuke's instant/movement/jutsu speed is superior.
