[Discussion] Anime Women=/= Japanese Women

Okay... I'm sure I am not the only who noticed but... Why are anime women usually busty and extremely curvy despite Japanese women more often than not... looking...anything like that...

I'm not saying Japanese women can't have big boobs or curves but a lot of them are not walking around with big boobs or having curvy bodes like someone like beyonce or J'lo...but stll a lot of anime especially ecchi ones have girls with bodies like Erza. I just found it quite ironic because Japan is an xenophobic country and you would think they would draw anime in the light of actual Japanese women since where a lot of animes tend to take place (Animes like fairy tail, OP, Naruto obviously don't but still)....in Japan

Not to take this too serious because these same animes be having women with like green hair and sh-t. So it's a light topic... and some animes are more accurate and do not exaggerate like High School of the dead... So I'm not trying to be racist some or generalizing XD

I bolded the part you sure really read and process before you comment by the way cause I know people tend to ignore exactly what I said then comment something when I already addressed that point in the first place.

A friend of mine that lives in Japan (no, 4 real, no kidding) told me that there are not many beautiful women in Japan.

But comparing them to anime is a bit silly, IMO. There are no naturally blue eyed/blonde japanese, for example, but there are lots of them in anime.

It's because the anime characters are heavily based on Western/European men and women. Look At Naruto and Ichigo for example. There are no natural born blonde hair blue eyed Japanese people. The companies know their stuff will sell overseas in other countries (particularly America) So they tend to make their protagonist heavily influenced by American looks.

Same goes for the females characters.

I just said that though XD. I literally just said not too take this seriously because these same animes tend to have girls with unnatural colors. It's just Japan does not to have women like and more of than not...

It's for me example going to Japan.. I'm black and the chances of me finding a Japanese with the same body type is not promising because black women and Japanese women do not have the same body. I"m NOT saying Japanese women can't be curvy or have big boobs like I already stated however they do tend to be stick think and are not double DDs like anime protrays. So I just find it kind of ironic that's how a lot anime tends to draw their women like that.

I don't know about them being basted on western or european men and women though. I mean they often will have unnatural colors and eyes too and no one on this planet has hair colors like that so I don't know if their just trying to sexually appeal more.. which is an insult to skinny women or what... but it's interesting

The thing is a lot of these animes take place which is presumably Japan... and these people can and are considered Japanese despite them not looking any race to be particular however... When you watch these animes and you see these "Japanese" women.. you would most likely think because this anime is in Japan that they would give more accurate body types HOWEVER like you said it can't be expected to be realistic cause they do give people blue and green hair and what not.'

So it's nothing to take serious or anything. It's just something interesting that these mangkas and anime producers seem to do with their female characters. :nefer:
