The Future of Naruto

So, now that Kishi confirmed that he is finished after the Boruto movie, what will be the future of the franchise?

Will SP decide to continue without him? Will we get occasional specials or OVAs instead of a full out sequel series?

Yeah I guess they will. They still have episodes to animate and maybe they might even animate the Gaiden. I don't think we will get any specials because SP is going to be focused on finishing dat Anime.

Didnt kishi say he wanted to work on another manga altogether? If so, i doubt he'll be doing anymore naruto manga.

There would likely be a new naruto game with the next gen included.

As for SP, screw them. After loading us with fillers they returned to canon with some sub standard animation.

I was expecting to see some beutiful animation for the final chapters of Shippuden but so far have been disappointed.

It will be a few months- years before he decides to come back and make more manga or anime. He will most likely be back in the future one way or another. He will probably also work on other things too though. I wonder how wealthy he is and if it's enough to have an early retirement

i'm not really sold on Kishimoto being completely done with the story that brought him international success. Ppl believed there would be no comeback for Dragon Ball either, but enough time and clamoring on the fans' part changed that.

It's hard to say what will happen, but I doubt that either WSJ or SP will be ok with letting it end.

It's entirely possible that Kishi could do a mini series/movie combo once a year for many years to come. If it sells, someone will push to make it.
