it doesn't take a lot to realize why Bolt is getting flack. If what those sources say are true, then Bolt has done next to nothing w/o that tech other than hitting some battle incompetent villain with an invisible Rasengan.

And if they are true, then the movie basically flipped the script on Bolt by highlighting how Salad is probably better than Bolt seeing as though she had to carry him through the CE. And this is after Bolt fans said has been saying that he's the best of the new gen w/o question.

I know why Boruto is getting flack because it's pretty apparent. A lot of anti-Boruto got angry when his feats started to be announced and didn't waste any time to try and throw his character under the bus when it got confirmed that he cheated on the exams however their logic as to why the continue makes absolutely no sense. Just look at the arguments they present. "Boruto can't be a prodigy because Sarada saved him" yet how many times have they fapped to Sasuke when he needed to be saved during the chuunin exams as well?

It doesn't matter if Boruto cheated through the exams because it never took away from his TALENT which their godly Sasuke acknowledged and his feats.

He's obviously the most talented of the new gen(As far as we know) and whether his character is better or not is entirely up to preferences. I don't think the movie highlights how Sarada is better in any way because once again Boruto still has more feats than her. If Sarada helping Boruto out is emphasizing her character being better than there seems to a be a shit ton of characters better than Sasuke and Naruto. :sdo:

If he was/is truly the prodigy his fans have made him out to be, there would be no reason whatsoever as to why he would need to rely on technology that was clearly forbidden before the competition. It apparently mattered to Naruto if he had Lee outright declare Shikadai the winner as a result of that.

You've got the definition of a prodigy all wrong. A prodigy is not someone who is invincible and Kishimoto has proven that with the confirmed prodigies/genuis like Sasuke, Kakashi, Itachi, Madara, Neji, Lee, and etc. Boruto did not get the device out of feeling insecure of his abilities. The spoilers said he was tricked into using the device by a scientist who was trying use Boruto as a marketing tatic. Boruto even was reluctant to use the device during round 1 as said by spoilers. It has nothing to do with being a true prodigy because last time I checked neither of those character besides Neji and Lee were using their purely own blood sweat hard earned abilities all by themselves. So how are they still holding the title of prodigies when they too have powers that aren't soley theirs?


I say he's the most talented and added as far as we know because the only gen kid confirmed a prodigy and the only with the most feats. I think a kid who managed to accomplish what Minato and Kakashi failed to do with no effort what's so ever can be said the most talented when no other kid hasn't gotten that hype.

No. The bottom line is that there is absolutely no need for prodigies to cheat if they are already more talented than others. It's like hearing a 7 yr old kid that can do math at a college lvl had to cheat their way through addition and subtraction problems. For someone who has been hyped as a prodigy, the CE shouldn't have been any more than a walk in the park to them.

Kakashi was called one too, and it turns out Gai was better than Kakashi for who knows how many yrs. With all of the effort to downplay and berate Salad, she still has what some may consider to be a better feat in the Gaiden, and she needed nobody's technology to pull any of it off.
