How did Bee survive hachibi extraction?(After war started)

The 8-tails left a piece of his Tentacle left behind which contained enough chakra for Bee to survive off after being extracted from him. Can't remember if he lost it in the war or if he cut it off before he was fully extracted though.

Yep. The Hachibi wasn't fully extracted since he left a piece of himself in Bee by cutting off his tentacle. Remember how the tentacle Sasuke gave Obito which was used in the Gedo Mazo before Naruto and co extracted them? It made a mini Hachibi so the same thing happen there.

It's possible that the tree + tentacle kept him alive in IT after the bijuu was ripped from him.

It's just the reverse of what happen when Sasuke tried to capture him. But this time, he was just left with enough chakra to survive.

He chopped off his tentacle after the Hachibi was absorbed into the Mazou and came back through the tentacle. Same technique he used against Sasuke.

I'm sure i saw Bee alive in a panel when everyone was falling under the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Yes, the Hachibi tentacle kept him alive.

As you can see... Bee had just stepped out of the Hachibi Tentacle.... and into the Infinite Tsukuyomi (what a bummer...)

We can assume that Bee used to keep his seal over the Hachibi weak cause they were Friends. In that battle, the Hachibi took control of Bee voluntarily (Like Kuruma does with Naruto) and put some of his chakra in Bee and expelled him. Since Bee was expelled by the Hachibi and the seal broke, Hachibi was not ripped out by the Gedo Mazou from Bee.

Since Hachibi was not forcibly extracted from Bee, Bee survived.

I'd say this is the more complete answer. Naruto never achieved a fully released beast mode like Bee and Jins like Yuugito did. When they fully released, the beast was essentially revived but they were on good enough terms to give the power back afterward.

Even though Naruto achieved a friendship with Kurama, they never achieved a full-on released beast mode. So when Naruto had kurama extracted, the seal was still intact. Yet when masters of pure beast mode, like Bee, use beast mode, their seal is completely severed for that timeframe. So while Bee did use the tentacle to separate from Hachibi's body, it was the lack of a active seal that actually saved him from being killed by the extraction.
