Here's my RSM theory, although its a bit different now thanks to Demon Hawks help.
You can get RSM two different ways, by absorbing the jubi as seen with Madar, Obito, and Hagoromo. The other by being the meeting place for all nine biju, along with Sage Mode, (although the tailed beasts can gather it for you so it doesn't really matter.) You don't need Sage Mode for the Jubi because as Naruto stated, the Jubi is natural energy.
The Jubi's RSM grants immortality, as your always in RSM, flight, tbb, 10 truth seeking balls, and Mokuton, (obviously other things too.)
The nine bijus RSM does not grant immortality as your not in Sage Mode all the time unless youre the Jin of every beast and they gather it for you constantly, but if you're the meeting place instead of all their Jin you can't have it. This would also grant flight, 9 tsb, and every bijus special ability, including a stronger version of Kuramas chakra avatar, and tbb.
Now I believe there is two different type of Rinnegan. The regular Rinnegan seen with Hagoromo and Madara. Then there's the Sharrinegan as seen with Kaguya and Sasuke. You get the regular Rinnegan from mixing Ashuras or his reincarnates flesh and Indras or his reincarnates eyes. You get the Rinnesharingan from Hagoromo or from being the Jubis Jin.
The rinnegan grants the six paths, Susanno and whatever your two special Mangekyo abilities may be, and Limbo as seen with Madara.
The Rinnesharingan grants the six paths, Susanno and whatever your two special Mangekyo abilities may be, (if you were a Uchiha,) and Ameno, along with dimension switching as seen with Sasuke and Kaguya.
This also means three eyed madara would've had dimension switching and ameno, along with 4 limbo. Do you think Naruto and Sasuke would've beat him? I wonder why he never used his Susanno.
