Eyeing up his opponent, Kisame grasps Samehada with one hand and pulls it off his back, whipping it in a quick circle before laying it across his shoulders behind his head, his hand resting leisurely on the hilt.

Gai observes his blue opponent and the large moving beast of a Sword he carried. Although always nonchalant, he knew a formidable opponent when he saw one.
What he didn't expect was, his opponent to have known him... perhaps they had met before, but nothing seemed familiar about the stranger.
Kisame looks at Guy with a wide-eyed, unblinking, almost fish-like stare, completely flabbergasted. Finally, he blinks once. A pause. Twice. He shakes his head.
"You really are dumb as a beast, aren't you? But it doesn't matter."
As Kisame speaks the last words, he manipulates a large pillar of water to erupt from below him at a steep angle, throwing him towards Guy at a high speed. As the water erupts from the ground, Kisame simultaneously streams chakra into his feet, allowing him to stand on the surface of the pillar and push off of it with his left foot, utilizing his own strength in order to increase his acceleration.

His upper body is leaned forward, such that his head is leading his movement. His right knee is also bent and pulled forward, consequentially placing it just slightly behind his head in terms of horizontal positioning. The path of motion from the accelerated jump will launch him through the air directly to Guy's left. As Kisame reaches striking distance of Guy, he slashes Samehada forward, from left to right. If left unchallenged, the blade will tear into the center of Guy's mass, literally tearing him in half. Kisame would then land several meters past Guy's original position, whereupon he would plant his right foot down, using it as a pivoting anchor and twirling around to observe his handiwork with a manic grin on his face.

Gai, with nunchucks on his back, notices his opponent speeding towards him, his run only powered by a quick burst of Water released from below his feet.
"Water Release ninjutsu… and that huge sword! You must be… …Someone I've met before!
As you slash across his body with your blade, aiming to hit him his left side and rip him apart, he'd suddenly lower his whole body as his left leg stretches out backwards, whilst his right is bent at the knee, allowing the attack to go over head. Simultaneously, he'd stretch out his right hand, using the back of it to go against the back of your right hand, further pushing the huge sword away, using your own momentum.

Description: A very advanced and complex defensive form, the Defensive Crane allows the user to divert the path of incoming attacks with the back of his hands, using circular and wide movements that expand outwards. He can intercept weapons or incoming taijutsu attacks. The technique is best used when facing an opposing Taijutsu move by diverting the incoming limb to one side and combo the defensive stance with an attack, exploiting the opening created.
This would leave your right arm crossed against your chest, and your sword facing the left side of your body, whilst your left arm remains unaffected. However, as Gai's right hand leads your attack away from him, using your own momentum, he'd straighten out his right knee, bringing the stretched out left leg forward, to strike your right knee.

The hit would be quite damaging, not quite breaking your leg but causes a lot of pain, and you to stumble back and fall, should you do nothing to prevent the attack, or somehow overcome the damage.
The speech is something he actually said, couldn't resist using it.

As he catterwals through the air, he manages to shoot out his left arm, planting his hand on the ground and using it as an anchor to twist his body around, quickly planting both feet behind his hand so that he lands in a crouched position facing Guy with his left hand and both feet in contact with the ground, while his right hand still holds fast to Samehada's hilt. Kisame skids a short distance, ending at seven meters from Guy's location, before coming to a halt, whereupon he stands up and gingerly tests his weight on his injured knee. While painful, there didn't seem to be any significant damage.
"Not bad for a beast, I have to admit." He points his massive sword at Guy before continuing. "But let's see how you handle this."
As Kisame says "this" a large shark composed of water materializes around Samehada, and upon a forward thrust of the blade, rockets towards Guy at a high speed. The moment that the shark leaves contact with the blade, Kisame charges forward, running just behind and along its left side. Just as the water shark would be reaching Guy, Kisame would lunge forward, stabbing Samehada's tip towards Guy's right shoulder. While the tip of Samehada wouldn't be able to pierce Guy, the sheer blunt force would certainly prove capable of injuring the joint.

A shark-like beast, releasing a Shark from his somewhat worrying looking weapon. However odd it was, it all seemed orderly, in this specific situation. It had not worried Gai, of course, his body was built to destroy rock formations, a body of Water would not hold him back.
Your shark would travel towards him, but he would not stand and watch, Gai would also launch himself towards it, building momentum before positioning his body so as to smash his left elbow into the center of the shark with so much force that the water would fritter away in all directions, away from him.

Description: A taijutsu technique where the user smashes their elbow into their opponent using the other arm as support. It deals a powerful blow to the target and as the name suggests, is even strong enough to destroy rock formations.
Gai's position would mean his body is facing in your general direction. He'd easily notice the incoming Samehada aiming to strike his shoulder, he'd be at a slight disadvantage, not having enough quite time to completely side step. In order to lessen the damage, as your weapon touched him, he'd fall backwards, avoiding any serious damage as your blade goes over him.

Description: This technique uses the entire body as a spring, by amassing power through taking a posture where the back of the body falls down. With this powerful taijutsu, the user kicks just above the head. Because the power of the kick from the ground is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will be launched high into the sky.
However, instead of simply avoiding it, whilst falling backwards, he'd use his left leg to keep balance whilst his right shoots off, above his head and striking the sword with so much force that it'd send it flying high into the sky, assuming your grip isn't as tight as you'd assume.
Assuming your grip is quite tight, it'd simply allow Gai to temporarily avoid being in a situation where the sword is directly above him, using that time to once again stand up straight and be out of danger.
As Samehada is wrenched from Kisame's grip, he bears his teeth in a delighted grin, with Guy yet positioned below him.
"Gotcha!"
The blue-skinned sharkman thereupon immediately claps his hands together in a single hand seal and releases an immense torrent from his mouth directly down upon Gai. The torrent would crash into Guy with immense strength as the water begins to increase in volume exponentially. After releasing the water from his mouth for a couple of seconds, in which Guy would have been washed away, Kisame stops spewing the water from his mouth yet continues his control of the technique, causing the water to continue to multiply as waves begin washing over the battlefield. A wave picks Kisame up from behind and carries him up and forward, whereupon he snatches the falling Samehada out of the air before diving down into the wave, submerging himself in the water and keeping himself in a mid-range distance from Guy as the currents and waves of water would continue pushing the beast around, disorienting and dazing him should he fail to escape the water's grasp.
(Suiton: Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Exploding Water Colliding Wave

Description: The user performs the snake hand seal and creates a large volume of water from their mouth spilling it toward the ground and lifting them up into the air. The user can also ride the wave, allowing him to travel at high speeds and attacking the enemy. The user can create a small ocean worth of water even in barren conditions and can use the water for additional techniques.
Once the full amount of water is generated, Kisame, electing not to give Guy a chance to recuperate, relinquishes his control of the technique, causing the waves to settle down, but immediately causes a whirlpool to be generated around Guy, sucking him underwater with a powerful down-spiraling current. Simultaneously, Kisame begins to swim towards Guy as the Jaws theme plays ominously in the background.
