I find it amazing that Asura is the only person in the entire series who can do this without a Bijuu. His chakra is the same colour as Naruto's and has similar markings on his chakra cloak as well.

Yeah but Kurama also stated that Mito was his first Jinchuriki. it's confusing yes. but the Avatar only shares the markings though all other features are different

Someone like kushina or mito, hashirama or even madara wouldn't know of ashura's existence or kurama's past jinchuriki (if it had any). But Ashura obviously had the RSM that Hagoromo passed onto him, and we know RSM has something to do with all bijuu chakra, or maybe not. But RSM is really similar to the kyuubi's chakra. Hagoromo passed RSM to ashura, that's why he has the kyuubi-like chakra and TSB.

Didn't Hagoromo inherit Kaguya's Chakra which also contained Juubi Chakra? Since Ashura inherited Hagoromo's Physical Energy, wouldn't it make sense that Ashura in a way, naturally had Bijuu Chakra?

It doesn't matter what happened to the body. Hagoromo had all the bijuu chakra. Ashura had all the bijuu chakra. His cloak takes form of the strongest chakra out of them.
