Was Madara's being defeated in that way truly necessary?

I don't know how to explain it. I am disappointed. You can say that I am just a fan and that I couldn't write better story. And I would agree that I am nowhere Kishimoto's level.

But I am still disappointed. Are there any similar Manga or Anime where the story is great? I know about One Piece and Hunter x Hunter.

I still enjoy Naruto story but thinking about it just made me kinda sad that it ended the way it did. Mostly I am talking about Kaguya suddenly appearing and being the final villain and some other things that happened around that time.

Yes it was, he was immortal just like Kaguya and if Nardo and sasku used their chibaku tensei (whcih they would've failed on because he could switch himself with limbo) 1/4 of the planet would turn i to another moon.

I don't see any other better way to take Madara out without avoiding an asspull. Kishi said that he made Madara the strongest or whatever and I guess by this logic he couldn't be taken out by Naruto or Sasuke, probably someone who had a secret agenda. I think this was the best way to take Madara out without asspulls.

Well, you should know that whenever a mangaka struggles to kill off his own antagonist, this gives a cue for almost anything to happen. Even if it means negging a major prodigious character using a cheap fodder-turned-boss of a character. :eww: Nevertheless, Madara's demise was already expected being a villain and all, and while considering that this is shonen manga. I honestly don't understand why people were so surprised and butthurt.... and still are? :|

Sasuke was the final villain actually :Sparks:, but more importantly, you never know, kishi doesn't always have a free for all in his writing, he has an editor and a team of people above him that supervise or tell him what to write as shonen does sponsor Naruto, so it may not all be kishi's fault, people keep blaming kishi but forget that he has superiors that can put their own input as well as wing what kishi may have originally wanted. On a side note, yes it was necessary, if kishi hadn't introduced kaguya, the fight with madara would taken about as long as the Goku vs Freiza fight...you saw how long that fight was in the anime...imagine if it was in the manga. It'd be near impossible due to Madara's spamming of limbo and possible PS, touching him with the seals would be harder than konohamaru trying to beat hashirama. Plus it would take too long, exhausting both Sasuke and Naruto, to the point where the sasuke Naruto fight either, would never happen or it would be very lackluster. Take your pick, madara fight but ni Naruto vs sasuke or kaguya a goddess and still some room for some Naruto vs sasuke action. Pretty sure when people realize this they will pick kaguya because the Naruto vs sasuke fight is incredibly more important than a full on juubidara fight.

bold might not be the case, since Rikudou Chibaku Tensei seems to seal the targets abilities.

No, it seals the Rinnesharingan, not the Rinnegan.

No it makes whoever they touch the core for it so it wouldn't have mattered where madara switched to he is the core therefore he will still be consumed and by the looks of how it sealed kaguya the target becomes immobile and unable to do anything
