Yup and seeing as how Shikamaru turned out. He will look exactly like his father. It kinda does not make sense since Tamari looks completly different than Shikamaru. I thought some of her genes would be dominent on the kid.

The only difference with Shikadai is that he has the eyes of temari other than that he looks completely unoriginal and I used to have problems with Boruto until I realize how badass he looks being another Prodigy like Minato and on top of that he has a rasengan and chidori especially the Hyuga Gentlefist was such a breath of fresh air even though I really wanted Boruto to have the Byakugan to live up Neji reputation.

Boruto and Himawari look completely different to there parents. Only there facial features resemble them. They are not a Shikadai level of copy. Other than Shikadai I feel the fusion versions of his other team mates look awkward. This gen's Ino-Shika-Cho is very colorful.

I would only hope. Otherwise we got a very lazily made character by Kishi.
