-Becuz : Madara worked hard to obtain hashirama's cells...he had to fake his death and pretend to be defeated by hashirama....all that so he could awaken the Rinnegan..


-also despite Rinne-Madara's blindness he was able to absorb hashirama's DNA...Madara didn't get it as free powerup...but he was smart in battle and dizerved that senjutsu chakra.....


-Madara dizerving to obtain new powers is similar to a worker who works hard and get paid for his job...

the true exemple of freepowerups is SASUKE UCHIHA !!!!!!


Madara killed him...Sasuke was dead...but Hagoromo saves his life...and gives him free powerups....


-sasuke never worked hard to obtain powerups....exept when he mastred chidori....even that chidori couldn't compete with naruto's rasengan....


was Naruto's kiyubi chakra a free powerup? :

Naruto trained hard so he can controll evil kiyubi.....it's just that the kiyubi refused to lend him his full chakra...


-untill Madara entred the series...then kurama decided with his free will to lend naruto his chakra....so i consider this a free powerup....(this was a bad writing from kishi btw)

Madara power is stolen /he worked hard for it.

Naruto/Sasuke (some of them) power are free powers.

but the power wasn't his. its not a latent power, he had to obtain it and not train or learn. What im trying to say is that he didn't gain it on all of his own. He needed Hashirama for that and that's what makes it debatable.

Itachi and Obito, Guy, Hiruzen, Minato, etc. They did it all with their own powers (well if you dont count Edo Minato)
