In a source I've seen a while ago hamura used Tenseigan to move the moon into space and Hagoromo created the moon with chibaku tensei six paths

Looking again,seems there was a Retcon to canonize the last...it might work though.

1-Kaguya eats fruit
2-Something happens and Kaguya casts IT
3-Hagoromo and Hamura seal Juubi/Zetsu is created
4-Hamura takes control of the Otsutsuki clan and leaves earth to guard the Juubi.
5-Hagoromo researches IT and learns that he needs to be Juubi Jin to release it.
6-Juubi Jin Hagoromo preaches Ninshu, spreads Chakra, and has two sons.
7-Hagoromo is inspired by Ashura and divides the Juubi's soul/chakra into the Bijuu...leaving him in a bedridden state.
8-Hagoromo chooses Ashura as his successor, sends the Juubi shell back to the moon.
9-Zetsu manipulates Indra.

But the scan says that he sealed the Juubi (maybe the Mazo)... He didn't summon the Mazo/Juubi again... Maybe he just took the Juubi's chakra before sealing it?! Also it says that his at time of Death "his" powered was released and changed to the 9 bijuu... I like your explaination but again its a bit confusing... That Kishi...
