You think volume of which damage is cause dictates ho powerful an attack is?
Yes because the focus of the damage is coming from A's limb rather than the impact with the floor, his lateral chop is more powerful.

AoE of attack being bigger doesn't make on more powerful. For example Rasengan causes bigger damage then chidori, but the two jutsu can tie. Or when Kakuzu used a huge Raiton jutsu and Kakashi matched it with two Raikiri's. It's about focusing your damage output rather than spreading over a wide area.
For me to say Liger bomb is weaker than Lateral chop would be inaccurate, a better way to say it is that lateral chop is a better move to use against Susanoo than Liger bomb is.

Apparently that leg vs the whole body being engulfed was debateable.

Raikage's leg gets covered in Amaterasu by reaching the Susanoo, and if after destroying the Susanoo and crossing that limit and reaching Sasuke, his entire body would phase through it and he will be entirely covered. Plus, we don't even know if his attack could penetrate through the Susanoo's defenses. All will be decided through that as I said in Post 59.

Sasuke's Enton shield started to disappear after Raikage hit him through his Susano'o. If Raikage hit him again on the drop, he probably wouldn't be able to maintain the Enton and it would fade too. Raikage would take some of it on part of his leg, but wouldn't kill him.
