The whiskers are a trait passed to naruto because he is a jinchuuriki of kurama.


His traits are passed on to his kids.

Simple as that.


They never go into detail on why kuhina doesn't have any whiskers but,i would assume it might have to do with the severity of the seal in place or maybe not who knows.
