Considering that in this movie is contrast the Gaiden where Sasuke fills the role for Naruto, and Boruto is Sarada.

It means in the end Naruto gets what he deserves after Kishimoto set him up to be rusty in the Gaiden. He's going to go hard.

Kishimoto did say that in the end Naruto steals the show from both Boruto and Sasuke.

The only way I see him stepping in the battle, with Naruto/Sasuke, is if:

I. These guys are incredibly weakened to the point where they can't move
II. Naruto/Sasuke are holding them down telling Boruto to finish the job.

I expect him to get the final hit in one of them, something that correlates to Boruto "boy, surpasses the big legend!"

Sasuke lost the one thing that made Naruto fight seriously against him, which was the Bijuu Susanoo with Indra's Arrow. He also lost his arm, while Naruto got a arm made from Hashirama's cells, which would give him even more stamina with the possibility of Wood Release Jutsu, effectively making him much stronger than he would have normally been.

Unless Sasuke has some techniques that we understandably don't know about yet that would change the tide of battle, I'm not seeing the equal thing honestly.
