Pain was actually one of my favorite villains if not my favorite (if you don't include sasuke).

I know he was connected to Nagato, but him out of the rest just seemed so different and more alive and independent.

I use to think he was the strongest Naruto character ever.. of course until he got defeated :/
Though I only think he got defeated was because Nagato was running low and because he only had one path. If Nagato however would of added the rest of the paths into him then yeah different story.​
