I'm a liberal. A very forward thinking liberal. I support practically every social justice movement you could name.
I support the equal pay for women, I support destroying the raper culture in universities, i hope for a female president soon.
But i do NOT understand the free the nipple campaign at ALL.
I hope some women on the base (not as many on here as men, but a good few still) can shed some light on this for me.
I UNDERSTAND, that men can go topless, and women can't. I get it. What i don't get is why women are SPECIFICALLY rooting for desexualizing the boobs, and not nudity in general.
Think about it, nobodies trying to say "why can't women be naked in public", they're just saying "why can't we show our tops like men can".
So you're not saying "nudity shouldn't be sexualized, the body shouldn't be sexualized, nudity is natural and we should be able to be naked", you're saying "yes, dicks pússies and ass holes are dirty and sexual and lets keep those private, lets just take boobs out of that list".
I mean, i suppose its worth mentioning. Its would be more EQUAL if men and women only had their genitals to worry about and both could show their tops, but it just seems like its missing the bigger point.
I'd be more worried about how we view the human form in general.
I mean, even if we make LAWS that women can go topless, we're all gonna still see boobs. We all like boobs. I don't care if you're a guy or a girl, you've seen boobs, and you like them.
It would take a few generations before it kicked in, Then what have you solved? Making boobs less fun?
If you were to say "nudity shouldn't be sexual" i'd be all for it. But its this focusing on the nipple that gets me.
I saw a post today on facebook. Some girl took a topless pic of herself, and photoshopped man nips on her tits. I get her point, but i don't.
Is it the nipple stigma? I mean, you can show all of your crotch besides the nude bits and the same property applies.
Can someone explain why people care so much about free the nipple?
Also this is unrelated, but i've actually had pictures pulled from narutobase for including nude manga pictures in them.

How detailed does a pic have to be before its blockable? What if it is a drawing that LOOKS like a nipple but i say that its not? Where does that line get drawn?
