Yeah, that's after a prolonged battle with Spiral Zetsu. Them originally going to where Madara was only shows that they had enough chakra to put up some kind of fight, but when SZ stopped them, they ended up using all their chakra to fight him, and they were getting pushed back initially too.

None of those statements prove my point wrong for the sole fact that they referred to that moment, not every moment before. Onoki's statement proves that they had some chakra in the beginning, but ran out during the fight.

Is their evidence that it was a prolonged battle? Going by everyone else statement, it really wasnt. Even partial of Onoki's words states they didnt have the time to regroup and recover.

I feel like this is the same case as me using Hiruzen statement to make a point about Juubito. Wording is weird and dont make much sense, while on paper it looks pretty clear of the situation.

They couldn't regroup because SZ was putting too much pressure on them. The length of the battle doesn't even have any influence on their ability to fall back and regroup. These two situations aren't anything alike.

-Shikamaru states that everyone is running out of chakra. That is proof that they had chakra to run out of. Unless you think the battle started in those panels, then it was ongoing and we missed the beginning of it.

-They were going after Madara. You really think they'd go after Madara running on fumes? Without the ability to use any jutsu?

-The shinobi say "It's coming again".

The battle began before we ever saw it on panel.

- Shikimaru words were following after Kiba's comment: As viz didn't reference the time frame of when it happened. "that said, everyone's chakra exhausted most of their chakra".

- To be fair, thats what the SA did against Madara, when Madara was going after the Buijuu.

- Thats a good point. But I dont think that is proof to considered they had the chakra to perform as much as when they were facing Edo Madara. Budda wasnt damaged until on panel time.

Do I have to believe that Base Ay did better performance then "previous" RnY Ay?
Do I have to believe Jinton was used against a character that has zero defense against?
Tsunade who canonically stated needed to jump in the fight (since she couldnt) and didnt even have chakra to use medical ninjutsu?
If Mei could have use jutsu then, what was it that she needed to do before that would help the SA?

Too many holes here to believe Onoki's wording statement stands firm of the battle

Kiba's comment doesn't connect to Shikamaru's comment at all. Shikamaru stating that everyone's exhausted most of their chakra is the same thing as what the MP scan I posted has him say. If they have exhausted their chakra, that means that they had chakra to exhaust beforehand. Thus they did not jump into this battle with no chakra left.

Where?

Never said that they performed as well as they did against Edo Madara. My point is that they had the power to do something, and they were not running on empty from the beginning of the fight.

Do I have to believe that Base Ay did better performance then "previous" RnY Ay?
Why would you even begin to believe this when there is no reason to believe that Base Ay's performance surpassed what Raiton Armor Ay did, mainly cause you didn't even see what Raiton Armor Ay did.

Do I have to believe Jinton was used against a character that has zero defense against?
That's up to you. Was it used? Or was Onoki stopped from using it? Who knows? But it's not relevant to my overall point. Whether or not "biggest jutsu" includes Jinton or not doesn't change the fact that they had chakra to do something.

You mean Tsunade after a while of fighting against SZ? Same thing goes for Mei.

Right this beforehand can't be said during against SZ. The time frame could mean since defeating Juubito.

It was rhetorical. What we do know on panel is the fact that no reverse Ay damage and dodge SS. While off panel "reserved " Ay didnt do anything significant, or nothing at all.

Read Sakura's comment. Tsunade never fought. Sakura suggest she should.
