Kakuzu and Hidan are waaaay too underestimated by the board, here. I don't personally get a lot of the Hidan stuff, but I feel like I've been underestimating him just from what I've seen other people talking about. As for Kakuzu, his unique fighting style is so underrated and honestly seems to be forgotten. I'm not sure who would win between Kisame and Kakuzu, since the two of them are both powerful, but I could see it going either way.

I'd love to see a full legit explanation, tho.

EDIT: Isn't Water Release weak to Earth anyway? Considering Kakuzu's main defense is an Earth jutsu, and Kisame's entire offense outside of Samehada is Water jutsu...

Both are really underestimated by the fan-base as Prayadara stated, but honestly, Kisame power fluctuates depending on his opponent, in this case Kisame starts off with his regular chakra, I'd say Kakuzu has the advantage. However, if it was Kisame at his strongest (e.g. the one we saw fight Bee), he would decimate Kakuzu.

EDIT: And no, not once did i state this was Base Kisame. Fused with Samehada, Kisame just needs to make contact with Kakuzu to steal his chakra, making him weaker everytime. You're the one who asked how Kisame beats Kakuzu and i just gave the answer, don't put words in my mouth.
