As we all know Kishi has a long history of damaging his characters' fighting styles by not fulfilling their hype/potential, or by giving them convenient jutsus. Which characters do you think suffered from this the most? Share a list!
Here's mine:
1.) Sarada: Had the potential to mix the genjutsu and ninjutsu mastery of Sasuke with the chakra control and medic mastery of Sakura but instead Kishi just has her blatantly punch the ground. We've seen this move a million times and every time we see it it gets more and more boring. I expected to see her fight quick and smart like the prodigy her father was but honestly I don't see it happening.
2.) Minato: During the war arc I expected him to show his full arsenal of Uzumaki seals and even more impressive variants of FTG and toad summons, but instead Kishi just copied and pasted Naruto's chakra cloak and SM on him.
3.) Tobirama: Supposed to be the #1 water user in NV but barely uses water jutsus during the war arc. I expected Kishi to give Tobirama the best water style fight we'd ever seen so we could see him dominate his hype, but instead we are mislead and he's given watered down versions of FTG and shadow clones.
4.) Sasuke: I used to think Sasuke was the most entertaining fighter to watch before Kishi gave him MS. In earlier fights Sasuke used speed, intelligence, and a good bit of finesse to take out his enemies, and I was always impressed by how creative and new his moves would be. After MS I thought he'd still fight smartly (like how Itachi did with his MS) but instead he became a rage monster who would just charge in and blow stuff up. I felt it was a direct 180 to Sasuke's style and it was all too convenient for Kishi.
5.) Kakashi: Apparently had thousands of jutsus in his arsenal, and in the beginning we get a taste of that, but as the series goes on we see him constantly spam Kamui and only use around 15 total jutsus. Kishi obviously could have done so much more.
