what a joke lol i dont see many similarities, and given the fact that hunter x hunter started 1 year before naruto itd be hard to rip off a manga that had barley any story delvepoed yet.

No one ripped off no one. Let's get that straight. Naruto's chunin exam did have inspirations from HxH's hunter exam arc. I remember Kishi. even stating that he studied HxH in an interview. Kishi has been a long time fan and the gap was pretty big when the hunter exam ended and the chunin exam arc ended.

It Started out very good then slowly became mediocre before finally becoming flat out shit.

It's writing was always just average though with a hint of brilliance.

Overall I would have been fine with the manga despite how bad it became writing wise if the ending at least had good pay off you k ow something to make sitting through all the bs worth it. Instead I got something that felt like a big middle finger for sitting through all the bs. I mean it just felt like a major waste of so many years of my life.

It was one of my fave anime/mangas my passion for it was equal to my passion for Dragon Ball.

Now it is one of my least fav anime/manga but as much as I despite for being such a waste of invested time and emotional connection, I'll always have a soft spot for it and sometimes I find myself temporarily back in love with it but that goes away when I remember where it all leads up too.

Yeah, those are actual/potential inspirations, not rip offs. It is funny that some Naruto fans deny the inspirations for some reason.

The anime adaptation was crappy. Read the manga buddy, only 60-ish chapters.

When it actually impacts your enjoyment of either series it's very fair to say it's essentially plagiarism. The first two arcs of each series are uncannily similar to the extent that you can't enjoy both for what they are because you feel like you've literally seen it before.

Well I can't relate to that since I didn't really like Naruto anymore when I started HxH. Naruto's final arc was a huge letdown and it felt Kishi. was just trolling at times. Anyways, yeah Kishi already admitted to studying from HxH but that doesn't mean he ripped it off. It's just a huge inspiration.

Everything prior to end of Pain arc was 8/10 atm. After Pain arc it dropped down to 3-4/10 and Gaiden was a 1-2/10.
