But anyways, lately my friend (who has an obsession with Pokemon and even has a collection on her shelf, I must admit) decided to show me what there is of the new series and I noticed a significant change in this generation Pokegirl, Serena.

She seems to be very different from the others that were portrayed in the series, showing a legitimate canon crush on Satoshi(Ash Ketchum) and also donning a unique dress that is completely different from her video game counterpart.

I was just curious, if anything, on your thoughts on the current interaction between Satoshi and Serena.

Ash will always remain that age, I believe in there first episode he saw Ho-oh, right? Didn't that grant him everlasting youth or is that just some fan theory? Anyways the relationship between the two is just for the fans, I really doubt it'll be official.

I'm enjoying their relationship. Ash has been solid in XY. If rumors are true this will be last Series with Ash as protag and Ash will win the league and him and Serena might get closure otherwise Ash is perma-10 XD.

I really wished they would grow some balls and allow Ash to show his age already by allowing him to do so, he's been 10 for far too long.

Well I think he is clearly 14-15 this series he is showing maturity this series but I agree he should have grown older won a tournament and moved to the post of mentor for the new protag if they wanted to keep the protag young otherwise Older Ash adventures with him being 20-22 would have been great.

I heard rumors that sony is taking interest in pokemon series and would like to run a new one.
