Wtf does that even mean? A true shinobi isn't just someone that lives in the shadows. A true shinobi is someone who protects his village, who endures to reach his/her goals and I guess that's what Itachi did, but the same with Naruto. He endured years of pain and suffering to reach his goals.

Itachi hated killing, the same as Naruto. The only canon killing he did was when he killed the Uchiha clan, but that was hard on him. It's also stupid to measure a shinobi by how sad his/her past was or how strong he is. Every shinobi that fought for the village is a true shinobi, no matter how weak or strong he might be.
