*the pleasant scenery you thought you were in fades away to reveal a generic creepy forest; dead trees, cobwebs, crows, all that. A cloaked man with piercings steps out from behind a tree, his body just as cold and lifeless*

So you've returned to learn the illusionary arts? I hope you've prepared yourself mentally for this, it's nothing like what you've learned before. Before we begin i need you to tell me all you can about Genjutsu.

*he leans with his back against the tree and arms crossed as he awaits your reply*

Dosu's eyes widen as the terrain suddenly changes. However he is not surprised, he had come across various things in the ninja world under the rule of Orochimaru.

Genjutsu are known as the illusionary arts. The user releases their chakra and infuses it in their target's brain, messing with their senses. Either one, or all five. The most popular is the visual sense, pretty much what you've done to me just now. Illusions can be used for various things, like hindering the target by creating dark places that they can not see the next technique coming, or possibly messing with their motor functions, causing them to be delayed in physical performance, or completely paralyzed and unable to move. Some illusions are so strong that they are mentally damaging, causing a lot of stress and possible shock or even causing the target to pass out like MS grade genjutsu. One has to be very careful and pay attention to the illusions as not all of them mess with all senses. meaning that if someone is left in a dark room, he might still have his sense of hearing, being able to hear attacks coming or what's out on reality. Same could go for touch and such, even if you are placed in a volcano you still might feel the cold brushing against your skin as you stand on a snowy land. Genjutsu can be placed by two other ways asides from regular chakra infusion. The other one is the popular Uchiha one that is casted via their doujutsu the sharingan. They use their eyes and place an illusion upon their target. The other one and my most preferred one, the one I hope to learn one day is sound genjutsu. Using sound-waves to carry the illusion so that when the target hears the sound, their senses would be disrupted.

Genjutsu can be released by giving a shock to the chakra circulatory system by either releasing a burst of chakra throughout the pores like nagashi or something similar. One could also be released by having an ally transfer chakra into your system, something that's called Kai. Another method is things like the curse mark like sasuke has or a biju, although that still qualifies as an ally or something similar. The third one and most common on is pain. The higher the level of the illusion is the higher the level of pain needs to be in order to release from the illusion.

Very good. Now we delve deeper. As you know, Genjutsu affects the chakra flow of an opponent's brain but how does one get to that point? In order to produce a successful illusion you want to mold your chakra a certain way. Similarly to how someone creates Doton chakra for earth elemental techniques, the chakra used for Genjutsu is focused at a certain wavelength which in turn causes the target's chakra flow to become unbalanced and its natural wavelength changed to induce the illusion you want. Typically handseals are used to help in molding your chakra but it can be done through a direct sensory experience such as light, sounds, and scents that vary among techniques. These are known as "triggers". Controlling someone's chakra flow is a difficult task so the caster of an illusion must be near the target for it to have any effect. That's why it is rare for Genjutsu to exceed mid range. Any questions so far?

The other triggers besides hand seals sound very interesting. My only question is if an illusion can be kept active and then continue to use other ninjutsu techniques and such?

After an illusion takes effect, there's no need to maintain it. It's like a drug except the medium is your chakra and not your bloodstream. If that's all, let's move on to something more practical. As you might know already, i'm not instructing you alone.

He stands beside you and motions to 5 other men walking into view. They are somewhat different in appearance but bear the same Rinnegan.

Whenever you cast a genjutsu, one of them will be your target. My doujutsu can detect when the illusion is placed and how it appears through their eyes, so i'll know if anything is wrong. We'll start off with a basic genjutsu only affecting sight. It is cast over an extensive area, an invisible field, and anyone who enters is make to believe their surroundings appear different than they actually are. The change could be minor like a sign saying something else, or major like a forest appearing to be a desert. There are many possibilities but changing how the terrain looks is the limit. Give it a shot.

p.s. Avoid being too vague with your reply. I want to know exactly what's going on.

This technique seems very interesting, I have a few questions before I continue to perform it. You mentioned this technique casting over an extensive area like an invisible field. Does that mean if I change the terrain all around me up to mid range, and place you inside of an illusion, then have someone who was in long range enter this "field" they would also be trapped inside the visual illusion? We talked about individually messing with one's chakra system to infuse the illusion, however this one is a constant field that is maintained? Also, you spoke about triggers before. What would be the triggers to techniques that don't specify hand seals. Do I simply infuse my chakra into their brain to trigger it?

Also, I had a question about how this illusion is created. In the anime it was shown that the technique was already activated so it was hard to notice. However, what would happened if this was used in the mist of battle. Would there be a blinding light to activate the illusion as some things change, or would the old (real) terrain slowly fade away into the new one? What I mean is, how is the visual technique activated? Would the target "instantly" see something different like in the blink of an eye? I see a red sign, blink, and the sign is now blue? (Sorry I know what I am saying might sound very confusing..)

__

Izaku releases his chakra and infuses it into the brain of the target standing close to him. He uses it to disrupt his chakra circulatory coils and place him in an illusion. In reality, the entire field in a mid range radius had been made into an invisible field of illusions. In the illusion, the sky would turn pitch black as the trees were set on fire. The surface of the ground remained the same, besides the very ground the target was standing on. There was an endless dark ditch that caused him to "fly" endlessly, causing his view to become blocked by complete darkness.

__

I am not quite sure if I can mess with the illusion to the point of causing the target that he is moving due to the terrain change. Also not sure if I can change it enough to cause the trees to burn as well.

To answer your first question, yes. It differs from most genjutsu because it doesn't need to be cast on a particular target, anyone in the area will see the same illusion.
Also, illusion is maintained just by being nearby.
And not every technique has a trigger. Some are done just as you described.
That last question is important. The real terrain would fade out or warp into the illusion. Its never instant.

Hmm good but a little faulty. Making him see a pit below him would just look like he's standing in midair. I hope you can handle sets of two. For this jutsu, form a handseal and throw a paper bomb at your target as you cast one illusion on him. The illusion should hide the paper bomb in what appears to be a clone of yourself running at him. Techniques like this one demonstrate how one could combine an illusionary attack with a real one. Just remember its range is limited. There's your target.

*points to a Pein walking toward you, wielding a black blade*

( Genjutsu: Kasumi ) - Illusion Technique: Servant
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: 20
Description: The user does one handseal and throws a paper bomb at the enemy. The enemy, trapped in a genjutsu will see a clone of the user advancing upon him. As the paper bomb reaches the enemy, it explodes

Next, cast a genjutsu on your target who should see multiple clones of you emerge from the terrain. While a normal clone would disappear when attacked, the target would see the clones he'd attacked merely divide into more clones. This is an excellent diversionary technique because you can move among the clones and attack while making it appear your copies are attacking. You could even hide behind an obstruction and let your target waste energy attacking illusions. See if you can fool him.

*points to a bloodthirsty Asura path looking for someone to kill*

( Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu ) - Mist Servant Technique
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

Ty for answering my questions Sensei. I now have another one if you don't mind. What happens if someone does nothing about the illusion, and the illusion is not life threatening. For example, would some techniques end on their own or be stuck on the last time-frame moment? I am not sure if this makes any sense.

Example:
( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

What happens if I realize it is an illusion and I choose not to release myself from it. Would the technique deactivate after the fire ball crashes onto me?

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

What would happened if the user of this illusion actually didnt attack me. Would the illusion end up fading away after the cherry blossom petals finish falling?

What I am trying to know is if there is a set time limit for techniques unless stating otherwise like the Temple of Nirvana that causes the target to fall asleep or the one that causes darkness, those would stay activate however the rest I am unsure about.

Oh I see, that's a really good note to keep, thank you. I have a question regarding this illusion. Could I manipulate the illusion so that the clone poofs into existence or shows signs of being created? Otherwise I get the feeling that this would hint it is an illusion all of the sudden.

Izaku releases his chakra and places it inside of his target's brain, disrupting his chakra flow and inducing an illusion. In the illusion, the enemy sees a clone of Izaku rushing forward with a kunai in hand. In reality, Izaku had reached into his ninja pouch and grabbed a single explosive tag which he under tossed towards the cline in short range. As the tag entered a distance enough to damage the enemy as well as keep the user safe, it detonates, creating a small explosion enough to damage the target.

I assume the target would see me tossing the explosive tag? Although the tag may be concealed as a clone, my physical actions are not, correct? Or would the clone actually block the target's view of my real self throwing the tag in a secretive way?

__

This reminds me of the Haze Clone technique a lot.

Seeing his new target, Izaku releases his chakra and disrupts the enemy's chakra system, placing him inside of an illusion where he sees three clones rising from the ground in front of Izaku with kunais in hand. At the same time, two rise from either side behind the target with kunais as well, aiming to "pierce" him in the rib cage areas. In the mean time, the clones in front of Izaku would rush forward while Izaku himself leaped into the air to his left and threw one of his own kunais as the enemy was most likely overwhelmed with so many bodies.

Answer: In the case of Hell Fire, you'd be surrounded by flames and stay that way. For the Mist technique, once the clone explodes and the petals fall away the illusion ends.
It mostly depends on the genjutsu used but there is no time limit to being in one. The Sly Mind Effect technique shows you can be in one for hours. Others have temporary effects like the second one you mentioned.

And with Servant, the clone hides your actions if you do it right.

Impressive, you're learning quickly. For the next technique form five handseals before casting an illusion on your target. To him, your body should appear to dissolve into many cherry blossom petals. That's not all. Those petals should surround the target, obstructing his vision as well. In reality you are free to move with your target unaware. Take him down with stealth.

( Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou ) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

Here we have a technique that uses your opponent's fears against them. Perform two handseals before casting an illusion on your target. He will see leaves begin to spin around him and eventually fall to the floor. A moment later, he should witness his greatest fear right in front of him. Such a sight should make the target falter or faint if the illusion is especially traumatic. Remember that its effectiveness varies from person to person. Without knowing the enemy's fears, the chances he reacts the way you want become slim. See that overweight guy? His should be easy to guess.

Okay I understand ty!
___

Izaku chains together the 5 hand seals he was shown and proceeds to manipulate his chakra to disrupt the flow of his target's system. This allows Izaku to place the target under an illusion in which he gradually sees Izaku dispersing into countless flower pedals, starting from the lower portion of his body. The pedals would scatter forward, aiming to surround the target in a whirlwind. In reality, Izaku had leaped forward and reached the target's back, placing a kunai to it's throat, thereafter slicing it.

Would I have to wait until my "body" to fully turn into pedals before moving? Or do I assume as if my body is "cloned" and I can start moving once the illusion is started?

Izaku moves to the next illusion as he chains 2 hand seals and disrupts the system of the new target. Suddenly, leaves start to swirl around him as moments later he starts seeing traumatic visions of a world without food, everything had been stripped from him. This would surely cause him to panic (possibly) however most likely not enough to feint.

The description is vague, should I rely on ninja rank if the feint is possible or not? Or do I have to find out the real weakness to induce feint?

Answer: If you move while turning into petals your opponent will see you moving until you completely disappear.

It's hard to say. Weak willed people are more likely to faint but showing a very traumatic image to a strong person could have the same effect. The more believable the illusion, the better.

Not bad. Now that we've covered basic illusions you're going to learn how to break or release them. This is a crucial knowledge for any ninja so listen closely. As you know, genjutsu works by altering a person's chakra flow. To return his chakra flow to its normal state, another imbalance must occur to dispel current ones and allow his chakra to reset itself. Three basic methods exist to do just that:

Pain (lol): Possibly the easiest but most dangerous release method is producing pain. Like waking a person in slumber, it is meant to shock the body which alters his physical energy. This in turn creates a spike in his chakra, breaking the illusion. The level of pain needed to break an illusion increases with higher ranked illusions. Here's a basic guideline.

*hands you a scroll*
- D Rank Genjutsu: Chipping a Finger (like one does as he bites to draw blood for a Summoning Jutsu)
- C Rank Genjutsu: Low level Physical Attacks, Bitting a chunk of your Cheek
- B Rank Genjutsu: Low ranked Taijutsu/Freestyle
- A Rank Genjutsu: High ranked Taijutsu, Stabbing Yourself in minor muscle, Cutting yourself, Breaking Smaller bones, Low level Burning/Voltage, Painful Cold
- S Rank Genjutsu: EIG/Sage level Taijutsu, Breaking Bones, Deep Stabs or cuts, Medium Voltage/Burning, Extreme Painful Cold, Bitting your tongue off
Some ninja like myself are more accustomed to or resistant to pain, so this method won't be as effective for us. Hence, we move on to the next method.

Foreign chakra/energy: Basically, having chakra transferred to you by an ally or taking in any foreign energy such as natural energy into your chakra flow will unbalance it and thus release you from genjutsu. The last method is most important.

Kai/Chakra Surge- This one is meant to alter your spiritual energy through sheer willpower. Two ways to do this is through the Kai technique or causing a high chakra surge in your chakra flow. To break illusions with a chakra surge you must release large amounts of chakra from your whole body using a suitable jutsu. It should be at least one rank higher than the illusion so the surge overcomes the illusion. Raw chakra techniques must be at least two ranks higher.

As for the Kai technique, i will teach it to you now. First, form a handseal and focus on your chakra flow. Through willpower alone bring your flow to a halt before suddenly starting it up again with a surge of chakra. This will disturb your spiritual energy and get rid of the illusion cast on you as long as the chakra spent is equal to the chakra used for the genjutsu. Not all genjutsu can be broken with this technique. They include paralysis type genjutsu and Mangekyo Sharingan techniques. Your skill also determines the level of genjutsu you can break, higher skill allowing you to break high level genjutsu. If you're ready, try and break this illusion. Jigoku Gouka!

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion

*a massive fireball falls from the sky, engulfing you entirely*

( Genjutsu: Kai ) - Illusion Technique: Release
Rank: C-S
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 15-40
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra.
Sensei, what is classified as "Low" & "High" ranking taijutsu? Are there any specifics via ranks or possibly severity of injury? Also, what would happen if I was placed inside of an illusion that restricts my body movements, it is S ranked and I have no access to a chakra surge strong enough? Also, physically unable to move does not mean I can't manipulate my chakra correct? If I wanted to perform a technique that didn't require gestures or hand seals, I would be open to do so? Unless the illusion of course didn't allow me to for example, being chocked and such.

After asking various questions, Izaku noticed a large ball of flames raining from the sky out of no where. He believed it to be an illusion, however he tried to analyze the situation just in case. He knew was hard or one might even say impossible to materialize from thin air, specially in such a large scale and high in altitude. For one to achieve such a technique they would first need to release it for it to drop down. The size itself was the most shocking of all. Having pointed and analyzed the situation Izaku tried to practice the method he was just taught. He performed a single hand seal as he focused on his chakra circulatory system, allowing him to forcefully stop his flow for just a moment to then allow it to continue. The spike of stopping the flow and then continuing would cause a spike in his spiritual energy that would force the teacher's chakra to be flushed out and thus release Izaku from the illusion.

*Pein observes Izaku's reaction to the illusion while answering his "burning" questions*

I would classify moves A rank and above as high ranked taijutsu. B rank and below would be low ranked. While you could go by the ranks, the pain caused the injury is most important. The same technique could have an entirely different effect if aimed for a vulnerable point of the body.
Now if you can't move due to genjutsu you are still free to use jutsu capable of inflicting pain on yourself without having to move. The exception are genjutsu that make you unconscious while in the illusion. I hope that clears things up for you.

*with his Rinnegan, Pein sees for himself your progress in dispelling the genjutsu and smiles when your chakra flow returns to normal after being reset*

Excellent. Remember combating genjutsu efficiently depends on the method you deem appropriate for the situation. The next genjutsu is more deceptive than others. It is cast on a moving target who is made to believe he is moving in a strait line but in reality travels in circles. This is accomplished by shifting the image of the victim's destination without them realizing it has moved, making them follow it back to where they started. If the victim travels in circles for hours, they'll become exhausted. Try it out.

Now i'll teach you a technique used for interrogation. You will place your hand on a stationary target and disrupt their chakra flow. Use your control over their senses to mentally weaken the target and convince them to give away information, similar to a truth serum. It will only work on a target at least two ranks beneath you. Here's you victim.

Noticing one of the shinobi walking onto the distance, Izaku releases his chakra and disrupts the target's system before they get out of reach. In the illusion the target believes they keep on traveling straight towards the ramen shop while in reality they are tiring themselves out as they walk in circles around the terrain.

A very interesting technique for the ninja world, if used correctly it could really come in handy.

As the shinobi is brought onto the training grounds Izaku casually walks towards him as he then continues by placing his palm on their forehead. It is then that he injects his chakra into the target's system to induce a powerful illusion, causing them to view very gruesome things that begin to weak them mentally from all the stress on their mind. Once he feels like he has had enough, Izaku begins to ask questions.

How many novels did you steal? How many cookies did the store owner have? Did you really pay for that candy bar?

*both genjutsu fail. Pein is still going strait and the random villager is just scared*

Pathetic. I'll grant you another chance. Remember what i said earlier. To get someone to move in circles you need to have them follow a target that has moved without them realizing it. Regarding the second technique, if you want information out of someone, traumatizing them won't help, at least not in this case. That genjutsu works like a drug affecting the target, making them say things they normally wouldn't such as important secrets.

Apologizes for the delay, I won't bother you with my excuses Sensei. ;sweat;

Izaku seemed physically drained from the on-going illusion training and so his friend Ryogetsu (New bio) came to learn in his place. Ryo reviewed everything that Izaku had gone through and began to apply the last two techniques that he had failed in. First he began by inducing the target inside of an illusion by disrupting their chakra circulatory system. Noticing the man run forward, began applied the illusion so that the terrain around him slowly shifted according to his point of view. In the illusion, he would be forced to steadily begin to run in a large circle as he was made to believe he was still traveling forward, as everything around him shifted along, as he is made to follow it.

Can I perform other techniques after casting the illusion? It almost seems as though I have to maintain it so I can continually move the shift the terrain in a way that would cause him to run in circles.

Afterwards Ryo sees the ame shinobi that had been tossed towards Izaku initially. He walks up towards the ninja and places his left palm on their forehead. He then injects his chakra in order to disrupt their system and place them inside of an illusion that causes them to see a very seductive woman caressing them and being very friendly and sensual. The beautiful red-head would do everything in her seductive powers to relax the shinobi, and cause them to lower their guard, almost as if he had been placed in an intoxicated state, to release information. The woman began by asking simple questions as she giggled in a cute way at the responses, continually caressing the man. The woman then took it upon herself to ask the man how many of his comrades were out on patrol, she didnt wan't to be caught alongside him, so he wouldn't be in trouble. In reality, what the woman really wanted was to know the patrol routes and how many guards were on duty that night.

Much better. Now i want you to cast an illusion on your enemy, making him see a massive fireball descending from the sky that engulfs them in fire. This particular illusion is easily mistaken for a fire jutsu because the victim feels heat from the flames as well as everything else. Give these guys something to worry about.

Moving on, this is another genjutsu involving illusionary clones. In this illusion you would create a clone that will run at the enemy, jump, and explode into many sakura petals. This serves to obscure the enemy's vision and allow you to attack while he is distracted. Try following up the technique with an attack of your choice. There's your target.

It's time i introduced genjutsu layering, the overlap of one genjutsu with another on the same target. Basically, two genjutsu that do not conflict with each other may be layered in order to merge their effects or stack them. The most important rule to remember is that when layering genjutsu, the second genjutsu must be of equal rank or lower than that of the first one, else the lower ranked genjutsu will be overpowered and broken.
To release yourself from layered genjutsu you could release each one individually or both at the same time if the release method is strong enough to break the highest ranked genjutsu involved.

You're learning this now so you can fully understand the next technique that follow the same concept. Take this, it's description is very detailed already. Use it on me.

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

OCC: It was shown in the anime to affect multiple people but judging from the description, it appears that only a single target can be influenced.

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire

FIRE STYLE: GREAT FIRE METEOR!

Ryogetsu yelled out as as he had gestured the tiger hand seal, the infamous seal for fire techniques. Moments later, he would influence the mind of the target standing before him, placing him inside on of an illusion. In the illusion he would see a large shadow casted upon his location, more than likely causing him to look up (up to the user to decide) as a giant meteor of flames descends from the heavens. The closer it got, the hotter the surrounding area became, further fortifying the reality of the technique. The illusion would continue by having the meteor crashing on the immediate vicinity, engulfing it in flames.

____________________________________________

( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique

Upon noticing the target running towards him with a blade, Ryogetsu channels his chakra outwards and influences the target's mind by placing him inside of an illusion. In unison with that, Ryo gestures the signature seal for the shadow clone technique as the illusion takes place and a clone is created in front of Ryo. The clone would begin to run directly towards the target only to jump into the air moments before reaching the. Once airborne the clone would explode into a storm of cherry blossom petals that would obscure the target's view. Knowing full well the scope of his own illusion, Ryo knew that only his target's view would be obscured, and thus he focused his chakra around his body and his own body motions, muffling the sound produced by his movement as he bolted full force towards his target, in a circular motion from the left side, aiming to flank them. In a fluid motion he would reach into his pouch with his left hand and draw a kunai only to place it in front of the target's throat as Ryogetsu stood behind him.

(Muon Satsujin Jutsu) - Silent Homicide Technique
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:10
Damage Points:20
Description: Muon Satsujin Jutsu, the ability to commit a silent homicide, is a technique to dispatch your foe with no warning. Your quick speed and skills will instantly kill them before they can provide a defense. Best tactic is when used with Hidden Mist jutsu. The technique works by having the user focus his chakra and his complete attention on moving fluidly, rapidly but muffling any sound he may make while moving as well as his presence, etc. It doesn't suppress his chakra or hides it but it can make the opponent virtually undetected if he manages to get on the opponents blind spot.

____________________________________________

Ryogetsu extends his hand outwards with an open palm in order to catch the scroll that had the information inside. After grabbing it, he would use his other hand to grab the edge of the paper and unravel it to read the contents inside. After carefully analyzing the information inside, Ryo would roll up the scroll and place it inside of his ninja pouch for future use. He initiates the illusion by manipulating his chakra and placing his teacher inside of an illusion after having gestured three quick hand signs. Inside of the illusion the terrain would change in appearance, having a dense wall of trees and bamboo protruding out of it. The forest wall stretched for miles to either side and up to 100m into the sky. Upon activation Ryogetsu had already begun to run towards his right side in order to circle around his target's location. If the first illusion was released the target would find himself standing at the edge of a cliff with a drop of about 200m and barely no space to stand on, from either side. The skies were cleared and behind the edge of the cliff stood a giant boulder to block his escape. The surface of the cliff appeared to be on the breaking point, easily notable that any forceful maneuvers would cause it's collapse, for example attempting to jump upwards and over the giant bolder, only to be met with a forest of spikes behind it. Meanwhile Ryo would aim to position himself directly on said "field of spikes" awaiting his target's response.

So basically, for each of the techniques I'd like you to explain how one can possibly escape the genjutsu, like what signs they can look for to identify it as a genjutsu, and whatnot. Also, give me a combination for each one.

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.
Well, this technique is basically a technique that allows you to create distractions, which are the multiple hands waving; once the enemy is distracted, you are able to strike him/her down with the original sword... It's really quite simple, the waving hands makes it pretty hard to focus on the actual blade, so yeah.

( Genjutsu: Ingemame Ketsugō Sakkaku ) - Illusion Technique String Bean Binding Illusion
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.
This next technique requires the usage of four hand seals. Perform the hand seals and send chakra to a targets' chakra system in order to disrupt it. The illusion begins with the user suddenly and spontaneously disappearing and simultaneously, an imaginary vine whip grows from the ground and beneath the target. The vines bind the targets' body and lifts them up in the air, and a pod appears from the ground near the lifted target in which the user will appear to strike - acting as a really great distraction for you to attack with the actual attack.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death
Rank: B
Type: Offensive/Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 40 due to stress on the mind
Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.
This one requires you to insert your chakra into the opponent's chakra system and disrupting it in order to induce an illusion. The illusion will make it seem like the target is atop a flower bud; the area around them will turn pitch black making it appear as if they've been summoned into an alternate reality. It is as shown below in the illustration; and shortly after, the flower of the illusion explodes, making the target believe that they have sustained injuries from the illusion. The damage of this technique is a result of mental stress.
