But Kisame's element counters Gaara's sand.

Against minor Suiton's Gaara can shrug those off in my opinion because remember in the War-Arc Gaara was controlling a cohesive Water + Sand assault (Mei combined her Suiton with his sand, along with the I believe Ayy's Raiton). But when it comes to large-scale Suiton Gaara's Sand becomes useless.

Thing is however, Gaara can create sand anywhere, and not to mention he can go aerial. With those factors noted Gaara would easily be able to conjure enough sand to engulf Kisame's waterdome, and basically overpower it. Any other techniques are touching Gaara due to him being aerial.

Ultimately it'd be a long drawn out battle, especially with Kisame being able to travel through the sand once Gaara catches him in it.

AZ quotation of the day: "Small things, all things."
Yes, Gaara can deal with small scale suiton blasts but remember, once the sand blocks or touches the water, it'll turn dense and sticky. Gaara can still control them but it won't be as fast or as proficient.

Gaara will have a hard time catching Kisame in the dome because the sand speed is decreased in water. Kisame can sense chakra too.

Since Gaara can accumulate sand from surrounding areas, Kisame can make it difficult for him at the beginning when he pukes an ocean lake. What ends up happening is Gaara flying in the air with his gourd sand while sand from the natural environment is under water. He has to drag them out from underneath the lake Kisame puked out.

He beast all of them.

Mei- Honestly a explanation isn't even needed here.

Tsunade- Same thing with Mei. Katsuya is caught in GSB and obliterated by GSB. Tsunade cannot counter GSB at all her strength will be completely useless here as Kisame could easily dodge her not to mention he has regeneration via Samehada.

Gaara- Water is Sand natural counter so Gaara already has one foot in the grave there. Once fused with samehada he can absorb any chakra from the sand once it makes contact. GSB plows to any of his defenses due to it being made out of water and being able to absorb chakra which is basically GG for Gaara.

Ei- Has may have the speed advantage over Kisame but that won't help him against an absorbing man. V2 and V1 are absorbed the minor damage Kisame takes from the ration is easy brushed off or healed via samehada. He can't run from water dome all day long. Once inside WD GSB ends him.

Oonoki- His only chance his Jinton which can be absorbed and inbetween his bad back and lack of speed he isn't landing any good blows on Kisame.

He would lose to Ay if the starting distance is under 30m
Nope. Base Ei hasn't shown speed suggesting he could blitz Kisame in base. Him trying to activate v1 or v2 will give Kisame enough time to prepare for the attack.

Base Ay wont be blitzing Kisame,
V2 Ay will, and tthe time it takkes to activate his raiton shroud is faster than anything in kisames arsenal,
once he goes V2, and uses shunshin, kisame wont be moving an inch before he gets blitzed,

Ay can seperate kisame from samehada, and cut him up with lateral chop

Ay/Tsunade/ONOKI (don't know if he can take the physicality of the battle at his age)/ Gaara/Mei

So pretty much all the Kages can beat him. Of course Kisame can beat some of them to.. but the first 2 Tsunade and Ay can't be beaten by Kisame.

Actually he is. Not only is centering chakra within your feet one of the hardest things to do in terms of Chakra Control, it also happens to be exceedingly more difficult when Ei accumulates Bijuu Level of Chakra in order to use it, so Kisame could certainly barf up an Ocean before Ei attempts to blitz him (dependant on distance of course).

I think Onoki can beat him. Gaara and Mei stand a chance, but I'm still leaning more towards Kisame winning. Tsunade and Ay are no-no.

Kisame absolutely destroys Mei.

I think with perfect execution of her moves, she stands a chance. But it also depends on the interaction between Mei's and Kisame's jutsu, like whether Water Pillar could bust Water Dome or not and stuff like that.

But I realize that Kisame most likely takes this anyway.
