How is he committed to Sakura after 699?? Omg all he did was tap her forehead (like Itachi did to him) and say he'll see her when he gets back. How does that = commitment??? He never proposed, he never asked her out, only said he'd see her when he gets back... Y'all be acting like overly attached females holy Jesus.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell it was a sign of commitment, that forehead tap was a very sentimental and affectionate gesture and his promise to come back for her sealed the deal, The Last and Sakura's novel also portray this as well.

The Last ? Tf how did The Last portray anything when Sasuke only has 10 seconds of screen time? And he wasn't even around Sakura then... The novels aren't even canon, yeah it's sentimental, but he even stated how he views all of team 7 as family, hence why he tried cutting the bonds with them... So he would show some kind of sentiment to her as a member of team seven.

It seemed to me like Itachi had faith in Sasuke, he knew deep down that he had what it takes to do things better than himself (He actually said this), and that is why he fought for him besides the unconditional love.

You do realize that this is what unconditional love is? Love without any condition. Itachi didn't care that Sasuke would destroy Konoha. Mind you, he killed his own family for Sasuke first, and Konoha later. That shows that he has never attached any condition to it and is willing to go to any lengths to protect Sasuke.

Bu that is the thing, he had kept KA for Sasuke. He knew Sasuke is moody and wouldn't head down the same path as he envisioned, which is why he hid the truth from him, always.

Not approving something and killing someone or attacking someone are two different things. Itachi loved Sasuke far more than he ever loved Konoha. It's just a fact. Had he loved Konoha even remotely as much as Sasuke, he wouldn't have threatened Danzo with its destruction.
