The eight gates technique is similar to the kaioken both have levels and each level is stronger than the one before it but drains the user more quickly.

If they ever make Naruto xenoverse the eight gates would probably work the same way as kaioken in dragon ball xenoverse.

Eoght Gates and Kaipken was too much for their respective opponents :bdpf:, but yes, you're right in that aspect; although kaipken isn't as fast as eight gates though. Don't forget that shun made his own eight gates variant, that uses pure oxygen levels but it only goes up to seven, I wonder what the seventh heavenly breath looks like.
