Yeah it's pretty much confirmed. Dunno why you expected it to end good and resolved in the first place, especially with the latest chapter, Kishi is just rushing things at this point

What is there to resolve in this family drama? It has a weak ass villain. 2 pages for him to get negged. 2-3 pages for Shin Junior to get negged. 1 page of some mystery which will be resolved in Bolt's movie. 1 page of credits.
You still at least get 12 pages of family drama you want. That is enough to resolve this.

You forgot about the graduation exams and Sarada's dream, I expect to be more like:

5 pages of Shins getting negged (Jr and Sr),
2 pages of the movie mystery (Intro to the threat),
1 page transition,
3 pages of Sarada's family drama,
3 pages of exams,
5 pages of Sarada's dream (Hokage) and wrap up including all characters (especially Boruto).

I commented to answer the question by stating that I give no ****s about the gaiden, caring about the gaiden is a thing, and caring about someone else knowing that you don't give a **** is another thing, I know it may be hard for you to comprehend this but try to keep up,son.
