It sounds very ugly in the anime and it makes her come off as some brute primeape with muscles. It's sickening and bad to hear.

It is a battle cry or something. Extremely annoying and drives me up the wall just like Naruto's Dattebayo and Hinata's stuttering! All of them sound like loons.

What's your favorite catchphrase of the series or just an anime series?

OT; Nah it sounds like she's retarded

No I don't like it. It is just so random and "what the heck". At least with dattebayo (or any variants of it, for Kushina, Naruto and Boruto have different versions), it sounds like it could be an actual Japanese word or flow smoothly into sentences. They say it so calmly and casually at the end of sentences, so a person who knows no Japanese could hear it and think that it was just a normal sentence where nothing was gibberish and every word had a meaning.

Shanaro on the other hand is so loud when they shout it and it is usually said in the absence of any other words. A non-Japanese speaker would even notice how randomly the shout comes and a Japanese speaker that didn't watch Naruto would think that she was just shouting some random gibberish for no reason.

None. I don't like catch phrases. They lose their charm very quick.

I have noticed when they shout this catchphrase they do the punch to the ground. As the ground is tearing into pieces they leave a aggressive remark to the person they are trying to hit. Meaning its all done to make it sound intense and badass. Which in my opinion is not as effective enough.

No. I hate it. She says it in the anime, I fast forward or mute the scene. She says it in the manga, I skip the panel. Hell no to the "Shannaro."

That's how "catch phrase" works anyway
Not merely catchy sayings but almost catch most of the readers..."Shānnarō!" (しゃーんなろー) literally has no meaning in JP but if others tend to change it to ENG version just like: " "Alright, damnit!" / In your dreams, or "F*ck yeah!"...blah..blah (not catchy at all as it's common already)

But I would be more impressed if Shānnarō will be changed into: kuso kurae! (くそくらえ!) Eat shit! :p lol

Yes I know its like "Me powerful, me hit ground....." even Hulk looks elegant in comparison

Like she is dumping hard...

That could actually be a good way to utilize this word. When you are constipated and you get a sudden release...... I can see it

I can only imagine how melodious it sounds to you :lmao:

I think Popeye's music was good when he suddenly gained strength after the consumption of spinach. That made his punches look badass
