So why does Sasuke have to leave his family?

In Gaiden Sasuke has to leave his family to "supposedly" search for traces of Kaguya.

But why? If he's not even looking for her in this dimension, why does he have to travel so far away from Konoha?

Couldn't he just teleport there from Konoha, then back again? Why did he need to travel so far away from his family?

The only plausible answer is
