luffy as of this moment. law will catch up eventually, the ppl saying law is even are fanboys grasping at straws, luffy in G2 was fast enough for doffy and G4 is faster law is not matched in speed, power or haki. only in intelligence can he win but its not enough. as usual the luffy haters gonna bs like rikers and etc of the base. these kids overanalyze it, what can i expect from ppl who think luffy is already at his peak with G4. Just cuz u keep repeating something doesnt make it true law is not faster as he has low reaction times compared to doffy and luffy. if he was that fast he would have done serious damage to doffy or atleast competed better but it was more of a low diff loss. and G4> doffy by a margin so its unlikely he loses to law.

That question doesn't matter to the discussion since Pirate King isn't a rank of power. You could be the single strongest character, but you'd never become pirate king without a crew. Pirate King is simply the captain of the crew that manages to sail all around the world.

No, that's not all there is to it. If you want to look at it so simplemindedly, you're free to, but anyone who looks at it truly can see that Luffy wasn't weakened to the extent that Doflamingo was.

Luffy fighting in the colloseum doesn't matter, he's said himself that he feels recharged once he eats food, and he ate food after the tournament. Not to mention he got plenty of rest time in-between that.

What is this "before the real fight" nonsense? Damage given to Luffy by Doflamingo doesn't count as Luffy being weakened by an external factor like Gamma Knife was, the comparison isn't legitimate.

Your biggest flaw is that you keep on comparing Doflamingo while at 100% to Doflamingo while close to 0. Prior to Gamma Knife, Doflamingo could react to Jet Gatling and an inferior clone to swat away a Jet Pistol. Now, Doflamingo cant even notice a Jet Bazooka coming until it's already reached his chest. It's palpably clear Doflamingo's reflexes and reaction speed has dropped since GK. Saying "He could react to Law but not G4" isn't a viable argument.
I guess your right about this. But how and why do you think Law wins this?

That's not true. A clone casually slapped away Luffy's Jet Pistol with a flick of its wrist. It wasn't even trying, it matched Gear 2. Now, try to imagine the stronger and 100% Doflamingo actually trying against Gear 2

and G4 is faster law is not matched in speed, power or haki. only in intelligence can he win but its not enough.
Actually, nothing indicates that Luffy's Haki is superior. When Doflamingo struck him with Boshikito, Law's Haki was able to withstand it[ ]. On the other hand, Doflamingo's string was able to cut through Luffy's Haki[ ]. Nothing indicates that either technique is stronger than the other.

as usual the luffy haters gonna bs like rikers and etc of the base.
Luffy is my second favorite character.

these kids overanalyze it, what can i expect from ppl who think luffy is already at his peak with G4.
Law was able to react to every one of Doflamingo's moves. Overheat travels at several kilometers in a second, and Law could move to block it without a misstep. Nothing indicates that Luffy's reaction speed is above Law's.

Law's teleportation is pretty much the fastest form of movement in the OP world, but it's extremely limited. It's not exactly something he can continuously exploit, which is why I said above that Law can't continuously outpace Luffy. For someone like Doflamingo who completely outclasses Law, the limits of Shambles can be exploited to a degree that someone like Luffy can't.

I guess your right about this. But how and why do you think Law wins this?
Pretty much the same reason Love Cook said above. Luffy is the type of person to charge in to his fights, fists swinging. It's this reason when he confronted people with hax, he lost the first time around. Look at Caesar and Crocodile. Luffy was stronger than them, but because of his limited knowledge on their haxxed abilities and his charge-in attitude, he was defeated. Same thing happened with Magellan, even though he's stronger than Luffy. But let's stress what happened with Caesar. If Caesar can get the drop on Luffy because of his carelessness and Caesar's hax, how could you expect Law not to be able to do the same?

Luffy isn't going into this fight charging with Gear 4, that's not something he'd do. Gear 2, he has a pretty good chance of striking Law, many times, but I doubt that has the power to finish him off, and Law would get hits in. Gear 3 is a terrible choice, there's no way Luffy wins with Gear 3. He'd just make himself a bigger target with many gaps Law could exploit.

Gear 4 is Luffy's best chance of course, but would he even get to that? For Luffy to use G4, Gear 2 and 3 have to not work. Law's powers aren't ones you can take hits from. Luffy can't afford to just take whatever Law throws and then slug it out because Law's arsenal is filled with one-shots.

You see this is the problem I have with Luffy vs Law threads. People want to bring up Luffys idiocy when in actuality the threads involving him should be made with no PIS or else your just giving any one the victory over Luffy because of it, which isn't fair as Luffy would even lose to sugar with his attitude.

This was suppose to be in response to you Riker Slade as I found it incredibly difficult to respond to that long post.

Luffy's stupidity is not Plot-induced-stupidity, it's just how Luffy is and contributes to the fight. Luffy being to stupid to properly react to Law's powers when it's important to results in him losing, then so be it.

And actually, no that's not true. If Luffy is aware Sugar is the enemy, he'd blitz and knock her out. Luffy is too fast and too strong for Sugar to have any chance of converting him if Luffy know she's the enemy.

Regardless he definitely isn't as stupid as you are making him seem. I don't see him being too dumb to figure out how room works, in fact he's seen him use it enough to know how it works.

Sugar would be nothing more than a little girl with her hand out in Luffys eyes, without knowledge which is what I'm trying to get at.
Its the same case with Law if he doesn't know how his powers work.

And? What did any of those hits do? Before Gamma Knife, did Luffy land any hits on his own that did anything to Doflamingo? Law failed to do anything against a 100% Doflamingo, as did Luffy.
I'm not a fan of that hundred percent terminology because nobody in the battle walked in their "100%."
With that said, Red hawk caused more damage than gamma knife. Red hawk sent Doffy flying and the ground while gamma put Doffy on one knee, yet Doffy still had enough strength to grab law by the face. It was clear that gamma knife's purpose was to cause internal bleeding but seeing Doffy's devil fruit power rendered that plan futile.

Luffy on the other hand landed significant hits that had more brute force, his third gear even forced Doffy to use his ultimate defense "spiderweb." The effort put against law never competed to what luffy went through.

The only reason Luffy didn't lose an arm is because Doflamingo didn't aim to do that. His beef with Law is personal, so he went the extra mile to torture him. Luffy was just an annoyance who he needed to beat into the ground, and he did so with a couple blows.
Luffy was struck by Doffy's awakening attack. He was yet to be pierced.
Doffy put so much effort on shrinking luffy back to size, piercing his body, and controlling him.
Luffy's Haki at his weaken state proved to be sufficient to take those attacks and physical strength to break parasite attack with just a flex.

It's clear that Luffy is the winner here, law depended his life on luffy pulling a storm to defeat another warlord.

That was quite the feat of Luffy tbh
Base Luffy took that sea of strings with barely any damage. Makes me wonder in what way Doffy could ever hope to deal lethal damage against Luffy if even his awakened wave of strings did jack sh*t

I did the right thing in not voting before. I changed my mind. Law will win this, not because he is stronger no(in terms of power level, G4 Luffy is vastly above him), but he has the perfect ability to stall G4 Luffy with his teleportative ability and he is slightly stronger than Luffy without that. Gamma knife is also a one shot ability if landed during Luffy's moments of struggle

Hmm, it definitely was quite feat. Luffy's durability is also a force to be reckoned with as much as Doffy. Even before G4, Doffy was dishing out very powerful moves on luffy, just ragdolling him at one point but he still got up.

His gear two didn't deliver the power needed and his gear 3 had the power but left him wide open to get hit pretty badly. But one thing I evaluated from this fight against the two is that luffy cannot take on Overheat head on. Its converged power is too strong that G2 luffy needed to evade it instead of taking it head on like he did Doffy's awakening.
