So since this new trailer for Boruto the movie has come out, many people have begun to speculate who the new villians might be and if they reallyhave some connection to Kaguya.
My theory on this is that Kaguya had a sister, or brother ( not stated, but most likely a twin ) and the two of them began to argue over who the heiress to the Ootsutsuki throne would be.
History has proven that twins in this position always fight for power.
So, Kaguya determined to do whatever she had to do to assume the throne, thus taking the fruit of the Shinju and consumming it, gaining the powerof chakra. Using this she had stopped the war, but what was this war about?
Kaguya vs. her sibling for power. Kaguyas army was most likely beaten and, all out of options, Kaguya had no choice but to take the fruit and eat it so she could single handely defeat her sibling and his/her army.
So now with Kaguya on the throne, and the power of chakra, she ruled with an iron fist over her land. Becoming obsessed with power. After becoming obsessed she began to fear the loss of power and so she needed a new army, just as a precaution, if her sibling were to ever return, or Someone challenge her for power, so she used the Infinite Tsukuyomi to create white zetsus, her soldiers. It works perfectly because she could cast it on those who defied her and in return had a loyal soldier forced to do as she says.
Now, a third member was displayed in the trailer, most likely an underling since he is shown carrying the other around and then in a clash one on one with Sasuke. This third member is most likely essential for this next part.
I believe the third member and the new villian have a relationship similar to Kaguya and BZ, one preparing for the others return. Now as far as specifics or intentions, i wont go there but for now just keep that in mind.
This third member could have possibly brought back the new villian on her command orhad to agreed to it sometime ago and followed through with it. This return couldve been after a certain event or pre determined period of time idk. But i believe she was waiting for Kaguya to be defeated for good, so she could return and assume power without a struggle.
Now theres a whole bunch of spin off theories i have on this one, like maybe the two were working together and Kaguya betrayed her/him and now they want revenge, or Kaguya and this sibling were never in a power struggle but Kaguya wanted the throne. Or maybe her sibling feared chakra and it power and plans on removing it from the world amd then destroying all essence of it
And one last detail, the Rinnegan palms.
We only know of two people who have awakened*** the Rinnegan, Hagoromo and Madara.
So either this person took Hagoromos eyes or found Madaras corpse after being ressurected, or maybe they somehow have a natural Rinnegan maybe it a recessive trait in the OOtsutsuki with the Byakugan being the dominant gene, and she stole it from someone else or something. ( i wouldnt put it past Kishi to have it this way as a recessive trait )
