No, Sasuke>Naruto until we see the movie. You don't call the shots, Kishi>on what you think.

I didn't say I called the shots. I'm saying we need context before we assume. As Noto said there are other translations for what Boruto said and we don't even know if it's an official translation.

From what we've last seen they are equal and that shouldn't change for an ambiguous trailer.

Of course what Kishi says is valid but the problem is understanding whether that is Kishi's thought.

I like both characters and narutos my favorite with sasuke at second but in the new boruto trailer boruto asks sasuke how he surpassed naruto. So this must mean sasuke is currently stronger than naruto. Idk how kishi could do that to his main character but it is what it is by now I'm starting not to care.

It is the opposite for me, i like both characters but Sasuke is first then Naruto second, being the main character doesn't mean he should be stronger, especially when logically he is not.

Yeah Boruto was shown being saved by his Master Sasuke in the trailer.

You said it was stated directly, since it supposedly was "the whole story" I'm sure they stated it at least once right? So just show me where they outright say it.

It was never outright stated that they're equal but it has been outright stated that Sasuke is stronger at different points in the story.

Sasuke has the most realistic understanding on how the world works. Naruto is still a Naive child that believe's anything he spits from his mouth is how it should go, but life doesn't work that way. Only good thing about Naruto is his determination everything everything else is laughable (should i need to remind you about the coolest guy?). Which brings me to say this manga is a shonen that's the only reason why Naruto got his way.

Well to be fair, Naruto called Obito cool because he changed, even though he knew he was going to die no matter what, he still fought to help save the world. His determination to somewhat make up for his wrong doings was cool.

In the trailer, there was a translation where Bolt asked Sasuke how he surpassed Naruto. I'm not sure if the subtitles were even official but it means little to nothing.

We shouldn't assume based on a trailer. It's more like until we see the movie they are both equal.

We are seeing Sasuke>Naruto in Gaiden, and hearing Sasuke>Naruto in the movie.

Let me tell you one thing though, when two characters, or anyone for that matter have a rivalry and they are good at what they do, the number of fans on opposite sides of each faction GREATLY out number fans of both. Look at Ronaldo and Messi. Do you know anyone who is a fan of both or doesn't have a clear preference of one over the other?
