Itachi and Minato have a chance, but CT and CST are the major problems for them. They stomp Pain.

Agreed...I wanted to drop my reasons on why Nagato can pull it off but I doubt I'll be convincing enough. Though some guys think it's a stomp Lmaoo

Lmao, right. Pure nonsense, but given this is Itachi and Minato we are talking about, the overrating was expected.

Okay spam aside, this is how I see the matchup.

Minato will start off the battle by marking Itachi and spreading around his kunais (Itachi can use his shurikenjutsu skills to effectively spread the kunais.)

A focused CST is strong enough to bust V4 Susanoo with Yata Mirror and kill the user inside. Yes, it's that strong. However an unfocused CST is weak enough to where dozens of shinobi in the leaf village weren't killed or injured by the jutsu. If Nagato focuses his CST towards either of them, Minato can just teleport them to another location. If Nagato uses a 360 degrees CST, then a V2 Susanoo would tank and protect them.

Shinra Tensei can only keep the duo at bay for so long when Minato has FTG to exploit the five second cooldown.

If Nagato uses Bansho Tenin to draw Minato toward him, he throws a kunai and switches places with Itachi, who Totsuka blitzes him. If he uses BT on Itachi, Minato teleports to him and then teleports away.

Rinnegan summons are too weak to be a factor in this battle, when Amaterasu or Totsuka can deal with any of them and they are too slow to land hits on either Minato or Itachi. The only real benefit is a shared link of vision, but Itachi has canonically poked their eyes out with kunais without ever getting caught in their line of sight. Make them FTG kunais and have Minato teleporting around the place, and the Rinnegan link can be broken.

Asura rockets can be used to target FTG kunais but S/T Barrier can redirect them towards Nagato who then has to worry about his own rockets coming at him in addition to two kage level opponents.

This battle ends with Minato eventually teleporting Itachi near Nagato who seals him with Totsuka.

Agreed with everything except CST. Shinra Tensei occurs instantly nor do I think that there is a way to predict it's usage given SM and KCM Naruto's fight against Pain. The AoE of it, focused or not, would catch them both if they aren't standing on opposite sides of the field. Combine that with the fact that it can't be predicted or sensed, Minato might be able to teleport himself away once he feels the impact, before he hits the ground, but I doubt that he'll be able to save Itachi.

Then there's CT, which you didn't mention. Minato can't warp it away, too larger and costs too much chakra. They can't bust it either. Itachi only has Magatama and by the time they reach the core, it'll be too large to make any kind of difference.

Not with full knowledge it isn't. Minato's already placed before, so as the match begins he can dispatch a clone to far distances and send the CT there. V4 Susano'o augmented by Yata should suffice against CST, or at least withstand the full brunt of the damage leaving Minato and Itachi unharmed. From there it's Nagato's downfall, as Deva's powers fade for quite some time.

He can't send CT anywhere. He doesn't have the chakra to send something that dwarfed Mountain Ranges without killing himself in the process, assuming that he was actually capable of sending it in the first place. CST wiped out Konoha. Focus all that energy onto a concentrated area and it's on par with a Bijuu Dama at least. Itachi's Susanoo will never tank that.

CT grows to gargantuan sizes, but it starts off rather small [ ], so Minato can anticipate it in it's smallest stages, and then warp it away. Lets not forget he warped the Juubi dama without showing any signs of fatigue at all, as well as warping Kurama/TBB among other things. He'd be fine.

Fair point on CST. But from what I remember, correct me if i'm wrong, it has quite some charge up time doesn't it? If so then the duo can anticipate it and Minato can port them someplace else, as if it's concentrated into one spot they could easily evade it.

They don't have to stand on opposite sides of the field for this strategy to work, they just can't be standing near each other. If Nagato targets Itachi, then he kills him but loses his Deva powers. And Minato has a field day against a Nagato without Deva powers. If Minato is targeted first, he can teleport to Itachi before he hits the ground as soon as he feels the impact like you said.

With full intel they will target the CT core before it attracts too many rocks. Minato marks Itachi's magatamas, then Itachi throws the magatamas at the core. Minato teleports both himself and Itachi to the previously thrown magatamas, where Itachi uses Totsuka to pierce through the core (there will not be many rocks surrounding the core if the two of them implement this strategy immediately.)

CST is widespread normally. Even Nagato's regular ST is , so why would CST target only one person? It'd hit them both at once.

With full intel it won't matter. The core gathers many rocks in only a few seconds, and then only a little bit later, it's large, and it was strong enough to tank KN6's Bijuu Dama here so it being smaller by a bit won't matter in this case. It'll take much longer than a few seconds for Itachi to form Magatama, Minato to mark them, and then the Magatama to travel to the orb in a position where Minato and Itachi can pierce it with Totsuka.

CT grows to gargantuan sizes, but it starts off rather small [x], so Minato can anticipate it in it's smallest stages, and then warp it away. Lets not forget he warped the Juubi dama without showing any signs of fatigue at all, as well as warping Kurama/TBB among other things. He'd be fine.

You'd have to tell me how he gets up there before it becomes size. That's already larger than anything Minato has ever warped on panel before, including the Juubidama. Not to mention he was an Edo. He can use up his whole chakra reserve to do that and not feel any side effects, but if he did that while alive, he'd probably pass out considering he almost exhausted himself during the attack on Konoha.

Fair point on CST. But from what I remember, correct me if i'm wrong, it has quite some charge up time doesn't it? If so then the duo can anticipate it and Minato can port them someplace else, as if it's concentrated into one spot they could easily evade it.

There's no charge up time. The only thing that could be called charge up time is the time it took Pain to shut off all his paths and fly into the air. Nagato doesn't have to do either thing, and no, they can't easily evade it regardless of whether or not it's concentrated. ST can't be anticipated or sensed, and it's instant. If they are within close range of each other, they'd get hit, but Minato has the chance to dodge since he can warp before he hits the ground...possibly. Itachi doesn't, nor can Minato rescue him and escape. Not enough time.

Let me change my strategy a little bit. Let's say Itachi and Minato are next to each other, camping in Susanoo. Nagato uses CST. Minato either

-Sees Susanoo get destroyed and anticipates it before it hits him.
-Has a shadow clone in front of him and anticipates ST before it hits him by seeing the clone get killed.
-Teleports away as soon as he feels the impact and before he hits the ground.

Either way, Minato escapes death so long as he has prepped markings at another point in the battlefield. Spreading his kunais around won't be difficult with Itachi assisting with his shurikenjutsu skills, and it won't take more than a couple seconds either. Now that Nagato's Deva powers are gone, Minato slays him.

As for CT you're forgetting that:

-Nagato has to send the CT orb upwards before it starts attracting rocks. ( )
-CT orb is slow to attract rocks at first ( ) because it has less mass so its gravitational pull is weaker. Reason why Jupiter has a stronger gravity than Earth. As more rocks cluster around the orb, the gravitational pull speeds up.

The other time when Chibaku Tensei was used supports both of the above points. ( )

Whereas it doesn't take more than a second to form Magatamas ( ) and another second for Minato to slap a seal on one. They can both do this before the CT even starts attracting rocks. It doesn't take much time for Magatama to reach CT so it can certainly reach the CT before a thick layer of rocks will coat the orb; nothing Totsuka can't pierce through anyway. Minato teleports both of them to the Magatama they just threw when it gets close, and Itachi can see the tiny orb's exact location through the rocks with his sharingan allowing him to nail it with Totsuka.

Alright. Good points. I'll agree that Minato and Itachi can win.

whats stopping nagato from one shotting minato by using a powerful ST that pushes him like this?
You must be registered for see images

he has no means of anticipating or perceiving ST, and he cant evade it considering how powerful the force would be, added with the gravitational affect knocking him straight down on the ground,
and he doesnt have any superhuman durability that lets him tank it so he gets finished,

nagato hiding himself in chameleon to catch minato off guard, makes this a quick one shot

not seeing where people are getting the assumption that CST can somehow be evaded or noticed when literally no sensor or user has been able to percieve it, the force has no shape or form and when pinpointed, the only thing itll do is paste them

as for itachi, his entire arsenal gets negated by preta, leaving outlasting as a very easy option,
he cant counter CT, since he doesnt have the firepower to bust the core, and he cant survive CST which is also a GG,
using large scale STs in tandem would also pile up the damage on his susanoo till he either cant maintain it or till the construct gets busted,
the heavier the susanoo, the stronger the impact on the ground,

Not 100% sure but I believe Nagato can win in scenario 1 but Pain loses 2. It depends on the scenario.

- The Gedo Mazou can be summoned alongside other summons and Itachi might opt to attack it via Amaterasu which is possible but it can be countered ..I don't know about Genjutsu working on the GM but it doesn't matter since it fights like this or with its eyes closed like against Choji and his dad.

- Nagato can go on his bird taking flight...That way he can deflect kunais easily like Apex showed previously. While the GM can keep Susanoo busy. Can't think of how they can harm that thing.

- Minato's Kunais can be destroyed via missiles...If not, This Summon can be a major problem since what it spits out can surround Minato's Kunai and can limit Minato's movements :

Databook 3 - Houmatsu Rappa:
Water Release: Wild Bubble Wave (水遁・泡沫乱波, Suiton: Houmatsu Rappa)
Ninjutsu, C-rank, Offensive, Supplementary, All ranges
User: Pain's summon

A wide-angle discharge, instantly covering the target!!

[picture of Pain's summon performing this technique]
[picture of Konan being hit by this technique]
↑→The torrent of white bubbles completely negate Jiraiya's "Toad Oil Bullet"!! Furthermore, the ground that is covered by the bubbles looses its friction, considerably limiting the opponent's movements.

The summoned big crab spits out a large volume of bubbles, instantly colouring the entire surface in white!! In addition to their smokescreen effect, the bubbles, spit out with violent force, also have a cleaning effect. Flames, oil... the effects of all techniques are washed away!! Any back-up plans will also just pop like bubbles when this technique is used......!!
Now if Minaro wants to teleport out of danger, he may be forced to teleport back to the Kunais which may be covered leaving him vulnerable

Even the GM's Chakra blast can destroy the Kunais.

- Susanoo in comparison to the GM is really small...I think Itachi would be on the defensive a lot and would eventually be bypassed via multiple attacks.

- Nagato's summonings are well more than Minato's so we know who wins especially considering the fact that they are formidable.

- CT can't be countered by both since Nagato can capitalize on the fact that they're distracted by the GM. Plus the fact that he'd already be above since he's on the bird making it easier and quicker for the orb to start attracting the things below. This way there's no how Magatama would be destroying the orb since it would be too late.

I can't think of anything else but I think Nagato wins this fight.

what's your counter to chibaku tensei? also what can Minato do lets be honest A kunai is not ripping through the body of asura nagato is a sensor who can see a 270

no need for CST it waste alot of chakra and bijuu thorwing Shira tensei's gets the job done Nagato med diff max and that being generous as phuck

Itachi seals the CT core with Totsuka before it becomes big read my response to kidgamer.

As for firepower I agree a kunai is not finishing off Asura body Nagato and Rasengan would just be absorbed. However Itachi's Susanoo can still swat him down or Totsuka does him dirty like in canon. If Nagato uses CST to kill Itachi (yata tanks any other ST) Minato can still:

-Crush him with food cart destroyer
-Summon Pa who uses his tongue to cut Nagato in half
