Wouldn't it be unfair, if you like to play with lets say Itachi, but because there are characters which are far more powerful, you have to switch with a Juubi Jin? Without balance a game becomes unplayable.

It's balanced to make it a challenge for both players. No character ever lives up to their series capabilities, and for good reason. Imagine if Naruto was capable of blitzing around the stage, the opponent wouldn't stand a chance whilst you dominated far too easily.

IKR? I'm really hoping this is either a placeholder, or that they're making separate slots for Ashura Avatar and Biju Susanoo. It would insanely irritating if they chose to not include some of the best looking and OP abilities in the manga!

What would be nice is if each character had different physical attributes that are balanced. For instance, fast characters, more damaging characters, tanky characters, high reserve characters, jacks of all trades. And of course, still balanced by choosing what attributes each character has, giving strengths and weaknesses to characters other than movesets.
