Since there thread about sakura (by Toneri Ostuki) I believe there should be one on naruto.
This not bash thread this is opinion
So firstly we all know naruto thought or believed his childhood was like sasuke, but infact it wasnt naruto had no parents or sibilling (yes his childhood was sad) but sasuke childhood was different in every way, he had all this, and lost it.
Secondly naruto still calls sakura "sakura chan"
He respect girl, who called him shit and never respected him
He kept chasing her even part two
even though he knew sakura loved sasuke, but okay he loved her so it was hard but she treated him like shit, she didnt even remember him when team seven had renioun "I am here too sakura chan"
Then we have Hinata who loves naruto risked her life for him,
Says she loves him nearly dies, he doesnt even remember her confession, the worst is he hugs another girl in front of hinata tottaly forgets het confession
Then suddenly through out the manga have feeling fo sakura
He suddenly falls for hinata(in the manga not once was shown naruto had any interest in hinata (maybe kiba teasing him might have counted)) the girl he never even aknowledge lol (now is clear naruto cant make up his mind and horrible to people remind u of someone, if doesnt here guess her name means cherry blossom)
Is no other than sakura
Someone who cant make up her mind treats the ppl that love her like shit
Naruto never worked hard, he had ninetail inside him, he is been using nintail to beat everyone, he even cheated against neji,
Unlike sasuke uchiha naruto is very unreistic about things, sasuke is portrayed very realisticall, as soon as sasuke finds out danzo was behind abusing itachi, he went to kill him, very realistic way for typical male to act (even thou is wrong)
While naruto called obito "coolest" guy ever clearly knowing how much trouble obito had caused
Now is all things that make naruto the most annoying character, even worse than sakura
I can agree with some of this but most I disagree with or partly disagree with. I'm giving my perspective on things you listed. But before I say anything else, I would just like to point out that Naruto acts in a very unrealistic way because the whole series is about a boy/young man who was one of a kind, one who doesn't act like the common rabble, a boy who would put an end to the cycle of hatred/bring peace to the shinobi world. This is why he doesn't act by your expectations of "realistic", given his circumstances I would hardly say that his extremely idealistic/naive way of thinking is unrealistic because they way I see it, when you've been through the shit he went through you're probably going to be either on Naruto's end of the spectrum (completely succumbed to the love of others and glass half full mentality) or Sasuke's end of the spectrum (blocked out the love of others and glass half empty mentality). To put it simply HE IS UNIQUE so expecting him to act "realistic" makes no sense as the story would be shit because he would just be like Sasuke; hating pretty much everything throughout his life. Therefore there would be no protagonist.
Now on to OP (I am fully aware this is your opinion), except there are some things that are very debatable.
- I agree that Naruto's life was VERY different to Sasuke's but I also think they were both equally painful in their own ways.
- Nothing really wrong with Naruto respecting someone who doesn't feel the same way about him.
- He didn't chase after her or have admiration of Sakura, he still had a crush on her but she wasnt what you would call a 'goal' for him like Sasuke was a goal for Sakura or Naruto was a goal for Hinata. His thoughts were set on bringing peace to the shinobi world and bringing back Sasuke. Sakura was a very distant third place to those two things in terms of priority.
- It's not noted that he actually
forgets Hinata's confession and he does acknowledges her for saving his life. During the time leading up to the war arc wasn't the best time to address Hinata's feelings although I agree even though there was never a
great time to acknowledge her love for him there were many times that were still suitable enough. It may also be that he did not know how to go about talking to Hinata about her confession which is also pretty likely however all we 100%
know is that he didn't acknowledge her love until after the war. Why he didn't acknowledge it is debatable.
- Sakura's neglect for Naruto which occurred from the beginning of part 1 all the way to the reunion of team 7 towards the end of part 2 is not at all comparable to Naruto not acknowledging Hinata's love for him. Naruto risked his life a many a time for Sakura, went so far for anything Sakura wanted especially in part 1 and made his feelings for her very clear which she was
AWARE OF from even early stages yet she
STILL ignored him. Naruto was only aware of Hinata's feelings post Pain arc, which was during a very troubling time (it's still a shit effort by Naruto however). But still, absolutely no comparison.
- Him hugging Sakura after he defeated Pain is hardly shitting on Hinata's feelings
(ITS JUST A HUG WITH ONE OF HIS BEST FRIENDS) and lets be honest what was he meant to do? Sakura punches him momentarily disorienting him and then catches him in a hug. Then Naruto was supposed to be like "ew wtf get off me slag"? Please be realistic, it wasn't Naruto who went to hug Sakura.
- It is widely agreed that Naruto worked hard for a lot of things. Granted, Kurama saved his ass so many times but that was because he started off weak and unskilled however him winning fights with Kyuubi chakra does not mean he didn't work hard for things in life, please read the manga again. He trained hard for a lot of things, pretty much the only things he didn't work for was his large chakra, kyuubi chakra and rikudou chakra.
- Naruto calling Obito "the coolest guy" was so cancerous and made Naruto look like a dumbass. While technically the changed Obito probably would have been a "cool guy" the bloke spent the latter half of his life being a flat out criminal to humanity commiting all sorts of wrong doings. Even if he died honorably/nobly with intentions of helping Naruto create a better world, it doesn't warrant him to be labelled as "the coolest guy" so I agree that was the worst thing Kishi could have done for Naruto's character.
All in all, IMO I don't think you are giving Naruto anywhere near as much credit as he deserves but at the same time I can see where you are coming from.
Edit: I doubt you will address this because even when people have essentially soloed your thread you remain in denial. Prove me wrong though lol.
