If it's to be accepted that whatever part of Obitos body is attacked goes to another dimension, then it can be assumed of course that if his whole body is attacked then his whole body'll be intangible. We see this happen all the time in the manga.

Then why is it, that Obito always goes into Kamuiland anytime a big blast is thrown at him. Can't he just stand there and not get hit? Why go to Kamuiland like he did against Danzos suicide attack and BM Narutos TBB attack?

Yes, but he can not move freely in kamui dimension if he goes intangable since he is in theory still on earth

Danzo's was a seal. If he would've stayed there, his Sharingan would've gotten sealed. Naruto TBB attack? He did phase through it and as a result, his body appeared floating in the Kamui dimension.

Though his body did get set into Kamui, it's still a different mechanic of the same technique. When he phases, the part of his body overlapping with something else gets sent to the other dimension. If his entire body overlaps with something then his body will appear in Kamui until that object has passed where his body was supposed to be.

Something like that.

I don't think a blast is similar to a physical attack. Maybe, Obito can't be intangible in that situation.
