Dragon ball, up until the Red Ribbon-ish era, and especially the first twenty chapters (Where most of these inconsistancies occur,) is just a fun shonen without any real regard to reality. Things happen for the fun of it, but later is quietly ignored when the show gets more serious.
I mean, a Bunny and two gangsters surviving on the moon when Goku had to adjust to the altitude and lack of air on both Korrin's tower and Kami's Look-out? Not to mention they were doing hard labor, mining the moon last we saw.

It's based off the pole from the Chinese novel. They aren't the same thing and there is absolutely no way that Grandpa Gohan would be able to hold a staff that is 8 and half tons let alone swing it around freely. It even says that in DB and Journey to the West that the pole is something that can change size, but in the latter, it's extremely heavy.
Yes, specially trained humans. The rest were at a power level of 5, Krillin is ~230 at the beginning of the Saiyan Saga pre-training. Yamcha is also quite strong, much stronger than any human by a 100 times. So nah, no chance.
So you're saying he was FTL as a kid when he's still shown long travel times throughout the ENTIRE manga? You can go around the entirety of earth in 7 seconds at the speed of light. Yet Goku barely travels anything even comparable to that when chasing, running, flying, etc. It's about 4-5 inconsistencies vs 200. If these inconsistencies had happened at EoZ then sure, I'd agree they have potential to be actual feats. But when they happened in DB, then they are clearly outliers and aren't to be recognised. DBZ top tiers are all sub-relativistic, unless we are speaking Whis/Bills/SSj God Goku.
Lay off the weed DA, base early Z pre-Zenkai would shit on Naruto and Naruto wouldn't even notice him or track his speed. Kami couldn't even track their speed and they were fighting and moving, not just moving. Anyways, Roshi destroyed the moon, Early Z Goku can easily shit on any defence Naruto has despite the fact that he can't destroy planets.
LOL, what? Firstly, how exactly do you get massively faster than light which usually describes characters who have transversed galaxies and large spatial distances in miniscule timeframes from a feat that you believe outspeeds just light itself?
Goku had seen him charge the attack and it start. While Tien lost view of him in the array of light, logically he would possess the time to outpace him to obtain the glasses. There is no showcasing of him outpacing/outrunning the light -- that's a personally made assumption. The attack had already gone off, just because the light was up does not mean Goku was outrunning it.
Secondly, as Apex stated, this is an outlier/inconsistency regardless of the situation at hand. Considering the obvious, DB up to that point only showcased supersonic-hypersonic feats. A random light-speed/FTL feat with that in mine IS an inconsistency/outlier and it can only be treated as so.
How are they inconsistencies when he's consistently displayed them? It may or may not have been the intentional on the author's behalf, however the feats remain. And I'm fairly certain I don't need to bring scans of the several definite instance which he has travel FTL, to prove so.

The irrefutable fact of the matter at hand here is the series was Hypersonic at most at the time, the generic speed feats showcased were no more than that. It's like me everyday writing my essays for school in black ink, but one day, randomly, I write an essay in blue ink. As everything else before that was in black ink, that would make the blue ink essay an inconsistency. Simple as that.
