Dean makes his way to the training field, and finds himself standing before a large amount of pillars. He squints his eyes as he looks at his student. He was high up, but he would hear Dean clearly.

"Oi! I am Dean Winchester, and I am here to teach you Earth. Now, get down from that pillar so you can do as I ask."

Dean crosses his arms, as he waits. Though, he starts speaking, hoping that his student is paying attention.

"Tell me everything you know about Earth, its strengths and weaknesses, notable users of the element and why you like it."

Dean makes his way to the training field, and finds himself standing before a large amount of pillars. He squints his eyes as he looks at his student. He was high up, but he would hear Dean clearly.

Dean crosses his arms, as he waits. Though, he starts speaking, hoping that his student is paying attention.

"Tell me everything you know about Earth, its strengths and weaknesses, notable users of the element and why you like it."

I stand and proceed to take a leap of faith off of my pillar. As I land I look at Dean and smile

"Thank good that hay stack was there. As for your question earth release has the ability to change the density making it lighter or heavier one shinobi that does so is the 3rd Tsuchikage. Earth release can also change the composition of the surrounding earth whether is turning the common ground to a soft clay to pass through or making dirt as dense as iron. Earth release also doesn't require the user to be near earth as it can be created with chakra. Its strongest against water but weakest against lightning and is most commonly used among the Iwagakur shinobi. I personally would like to learn Doton for traps and defensive maneuvers. Oh my name is Keji Kurai by the way."

Dean listens to his student's explanation, which wasn't bad but could still use some more details.

"Alright, that's okay. Though to add a bit, Earth release is a sturdy element which showcases both offensive and defensive techniques, and even a few supplementary ones. It has many different forms, and is usually used when the user is on the ground itself. A few Earth techniques do not require this though. Earth Release comes forth in the form of making pillars, structures like Golems and Dragons of Earth, defensive domes and even a sticky swamp, to name a few. We'll be going through them all in training. It is indeed strong against Water due to its sturdy structure and weak to Lightning as it tears through the rocky structure. It can even be used as a defensive wall against some Fire techniques, and even some Wind techniques (the more blunt ones) though it depends on the techniques, and I will name them whenever we comes across those types. Anyway, let us move on."

Dean looks into his back pack, where he takes out a small paper.

"Now, channel your Earth chakra into this chakra paper, which would cause it to crumble. Think about the Earth, its strength, its power and how its all around you. Sit on the ground, cross your legs and close your eyes as you do this."

Dean then waits for Keji.

I take a seat on the ground next to me and begin to reflect on what I was told while holding the paper in my right hand. *Inner thoughts* "We walk on it... We sleep in it... Our homes are made from it... It is are planet... The mountains... It sustains all life... It is hard... It is strong... " This continues for a few more minutes and as each thought passes the paper slowly begins to crumble as earth chakra flows into it. After the paper completely crumbles I look to Dean eager for more "What's next?"

I will explain the technique to you, then I want you to perform it against a clone of mine, and then state at least 2 advantages and disadvantages of the technique to me. Also, how you would preferably use it in battle. If you have questions, be sure to ask that too!

Now, for the first technique, is probably one of the most useful techniques even though it is low ranked. You will use your Earth based chakra and channel it into the ground before you, to create small pillars, shields and even tools of Earth. "Roger" Keji turns to Deans clone and proceeds to put his on the ground "Doton No Jutsu". A crude but effective ninjato shoots out of the ground in front of the clone. As this is happening Keji dashes to the blade and once he grabs it impales the clone.

Turning back to Dean "Disadvantages one like you said is its rank anything stronger than D rank could more than likely smash through a shield or break a sword like that of which I just used. Another disadvantage would be the need to have you hands contacting the ground in order to preform the jutsu. Advantages. This jutsu is extremely versatile allow you to create what ever you need at that time. This jutsu would also be perfect for tag teams if used with a partner that you are well versed with."

"Not your hands per se, this technique requires no hand seals, the chakra merely moves through the Earth from your body. Nonetheless, here you go."

"Now, for the next one. Take this lump of rock, and use your Earth based chakra to channel it into the rock. You will then use shape manipulation to form this rock, into a staff of Earth. This staff can be launched towards the opponent with ease and great accuracy, or several staffs can be made but thrown with less accuracy. The technique is only D rank, and is best used in close range. Use it against my clone (plus the other stuff)."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Kenji.

Keji catches the rock and listens to the task given to him then Dean summons a clone which immediately charges at him. Seeing this Keji replies with "Dam it squirrel!" Channeling his earth chakra into the rock Keji forms a single bo staff and prepares for cqc. After about an hr exchange Keji bruised and staff slow crumbling "Phew. That was a rush." Grins at Dean.

Dean crosses his arms as he waits for Kenji to add what he has missed.

"Alright on the performance, but what about the advantages, disadvantages, and the use in battle? You have to add them every time U_U."

Dean crosses his arms as he waits for Keji to add what he has missed.

Keji's head drops because he forgot the most crucial part. "Dam my bad Dean." Straightening himself up he begins to explain his analysis.

"Advantages: First would be the availability of this technique. The user could create a sturdy weapon at any time and almost anywhere since we are are surrounded by land. The second advantage for me would be the would be focused on its distance attack. The user can decide whether or not to take the marksman route (single staff high accuracy) or the bomber route (multiple staffs low accuracy). For example marksman could have been used if I was far enough from you clone to launch the staff from a distance with a high chance of taking him out. The bomber route would be used for a bigger group of enemies where accuracy didn't matter."

"Disadvantages: Low ranking jutsu weapon. If you'd face an opponent who was also a cqc fighter but with a lightning infused weapon you would find yourself in a losing situation. The other would be the need to manipulate actual earth to create this weapon. If you found yourself free falling in air of caught off the ground you would be out of luck. The same thing if the battle took placed on a water landscape."

"Combat use: For me just like I did cqc weapon but all around it is a cqc weapon, single shot distance weapon best used on a single target due to high accuracy, and multi shot distance weapon best used on large groups or a large target due to low accuracy. Finally it could also be used to outfit your team with a weapon if you find yourselves in a tight spot with low supplies."

The user can then use it as a melee weapon or throw it with pinpoint accuracy at their opponent. A variation of this technique allows the user to create several staffs and launch them at the target, but with less accuracy.

"Now for the next one. The last D rank technique, where you will concentrate your Earth based chakra into your arm (dominant one) and create a ring of rocks. These are then flung towards the opponent with ease. A very simple technique, but nice to use when you are close to the opponent. Use it against my clone, and remember to add the advantages, disadvantages etc."

"Now for the next one. The last D rank technique, where you will concentrate your Earth based chakra into your arm (dominant one) and create a ring of rocks. Dean creates a clone that runs towards Keji.

Keji smiles and takes a fighting stance "Roger." As the clone approaches Keji begins to channel chakra into his right arm and as this is happening five stones begin to appear. "Batter up." Keji throws one rock at the clones head and then another immediately at its right eye in hopes to cripple the clone. Now engaged in cqc after a few exchanges Keji throws a hard round house to the head but when the clone goes to defend Keji smiles "Got'em." and sends the remaining three stones into the clones solar plexus causing it to vanish. (Imagine a Thai fighter throwing a switch kick while sending the stones around his back into the clone)

After catching his breath Keji proceeds with the usual. "Advantages. One is that it's great with optional range like the Doton: Gansetsukon you taught me. Like I did in my battle just now the user can throw a few or all if they want to try and take out or hinder their opponent before entering cqc. Also for cqc if you choose to keep the stones you can use them for defense, diversion, or a solid surprise attack to a vital area. Another advantage would be the freedom of movement. Meaning I can reach and counter like the stones weren't there and then use them with chakra control to freely launch them at an enemy. Disadvantage would be since they are rocks they probably couldn't be much help to block a big attack but other than that I can't think of a major one of the top of my head. Use in combat for me would be how I used it just now. Try to hinder the target before they reach me then use them fro sneak attacks or keep all stones until you see openings in the targets defense and exploit them."

Now for the next technique, it starts off by forming the Rat hand seal and manipulating your Earth based chakra, to control multiple sections of rock. These can then be moved around the opponent, and then to finish off, you will form two gigantic sections which close in on the opponent. This aims to crush the opponent, but also take into account that this could be a chance for your opponent to go underground. So best use it when you have that covered. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that stands before Kenji.

"After doing that, charge your Earth based chakra into the ground, which forms it into a fine sand. This allows you to traverse through the ground like a mole. Once underground, you will be able to sense what's going on above you, and launch an attack accordingly. You can go extremely deep, making it difficult for the opponent to reach, and once you go underground, the Earth forms back to its original form, leaving no traces of your original entrance point. Once underground, you can only use C rank and below Earth techniques, and can't form hand seals. If you do try and use a more high ranking technique than C rank, you will disrupt the technique and be left crushed underground. Use it to escape from my clone."

Dean creates a clone that aims to find Kenji.

Keji quickly preforms the rat seal and begins to manipulate the ground within a 5 meter radius 360 degrees around Deans clone. Keji then crushes the clone between to half slabs of earth(kinda resembling pac man closing his mouth). "That's one clone down. Now where is that other clo..." A kunai flies past Keji's head . Instantly reacting Keji manipulates the ground beneath him turning it into sand and sinks into it. Now under ground Keji focuses on trying to locate the target. Once the target is found Keji manipulates the earth beneath the clone "Doton no Jutsu" this causes small chains to appear around the clones arms, legs, and neck. Raising from the ground Keji walks to the clone once again forming the rat seal. "Good bye..." manipulating the earth around the clone with his chakra Keji crush this clone just like the other.

Keji turns back to Dean "Advantages of the first jutsu are the sheer amount of force and pressure of this jutsu would definitely crush any enemy if used at the right time. I also believe this would make a great tag team combination if prepared correctly. Advantage of the second technique, one it is perfect for hiding from enemies and tracking an enemy without being seen. Another would be its trap capabilities; launching jutsu from and unseen location is vary valuable. Disadvantages of the first like you said a target if given enough time could counter or escape from this jutsu leaving the caster unaware of this fact until its to late. Disadvantage of the second restricted movement and attack abilities. Not being able to weave hand signs limites the amount of jutsu that you are able to use while underground this also adds to the fact that you can't use jutsu higher than c rank or you will be crushed."

Keji catches his breath for a moment "Combat usage for the first would be like I stated in the advantages. Mainly catching the enemy off guard or used in combination with a team. For the second you have a few possibilities, One you can use it to hide from an enemy, second as a sensory jutsu to track an enemy, third to assault an enemy without being seen, or fourth to capture an enemy. Example dig your way under the enemy then grab their legs and drag them under to about their neck."

"After that, one of my favourite Earth techniques. Through manipulation of your Earth based chakra, you will send your Earth chakra into the ground before you and cause several spikes of Earth to emerge from the ground. This can be aimed to emerge from beneath the opponent, behind him, pierce vital parts, the feet etc. Very useful, since it requires no hand seals. Use it against my clone."

"Lastly, you will start off by concentrating your Earth based chakra and releasing it into the ground before you. This will cause a tremor to occur, which is capable of throwing the opponent off balance, and even cause him to mess up with hand seals. Its a nice tactical technique, and can be combined with many other techniques. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Kenji.

Keji smiles as he channels his chakra into the ground beneath him and sinks. Locating the first clone Keji travels just beneath it and reaches his arms up to grab the clones ankles and pulls it down leaving just its head exposed. "Doton no Jutsu" creating a small chain to wrap around the clones mouth to keep it from alerting anyone. Keji sees another clone running towards him and begins to manipulate the earth in front of him. This causes spikes to form right in front of the clone causing his feet to be impaled. At the clones moment of pause Keji channels more chakra into the ground to send spikes into the clones eyes, solar plexus, and knee caps. Keji sees another clone headed towards him and reacts by concentrating his earth chakra and releasing it in front of him causing a tremor throwing the clone off balance. While the clone struggles to regain balance Keji preforms the rat seal and channels his chakra to the earth under the clone "Doton Ganban Kyu" This creates to halves of a sphere to come up and crush the clone(pac-man).

Keji then turns to Dean "Advantages: First techniques advantages are as I said earlier when you taught me hiding like a mole. Second techniques is great for catching an opponent off guard because there is no movement allowing you to attack from where ever without drawing any suspicion. Third technique as you stated is great to throw the enemy off balance and keep them from preforming hand seals. Disadvantages: First technique unless the target is split from his group this technique could cause problems because it allows the target a brief moment to call for help. The second jutsu and long with the third seem to have the same weakness which is the target has to be on the ground. Unless the spikes can extend great distance or actually shoot out of the ground.(bullets for example)"

"Next is a very easy technique to use, and frankly, underused overall. You will manipulate your Earth based chakra, and create a globule of mud in your mouth. This can be shot towards the opponent, aimed to hit his face, and blind him temporarily. Best used in a Taijutsu fight, or if you are simply close range since it travels in a linear path. This means that it is easy to predict where the globule mud will travel to. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Kenji.

"After that, a technique which allows you to dislodge and bring down nearby Earth structures, either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures) with a single hand seal. This works through using your Earth based chakra to remove a vital piece of the structure, causing it to collapse. Best used in a cave, where all the rocks would be loosened, and fall onto the opponent. It is capable of causing up to A rank damage, if the amount rocks are many. The technique itself is merely C rank, but it causes the rocks to cause A rank damage because it isn't chakra fueled, and simply just a large amount of rocks falling onto the opponent. Use it against my clone."

"Next is a very easy technique to use, and frankly, underused overall. You will manipulate your Earth based chakra, and create a globule of mud in your mouth. This can be shot towards the opponent, aimed to hit his face, and blind him temporarily. Best used in a Taijutsu fight, or if you are simply close range since it travels in a linear path. This means that it is easy to predict where the globule mud will travel to. Use it against my clone."

"After that, a technique which allows you to dislodge and bring down nearby Earth structures, either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures) with a single hand seal. This works through using your Earth based chakra to remove a vital piece of the structure, causing it to collapse. Best used in a cave, where all the rocks would be loosened, and fall onto the opponent. It is capable of causing up to A rank damage, if the amount rocks are many. The technique itself is merely C rank, but it causes the rocks to cause A rank damage because it isn't chakra fueled, and simply just a large amount of rocks falling onto the opponent. Use it against my clone."

Dean creates a clone that stands in a cave.

Seeing the clone charging towards him Keji begins to mold earth chakra in his mouth. Allowing the clone to get within arms length he grabs it and releases a mud glob into the clones eyes. As the clones struggles to gain its vision back Keji drags him completely under with Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu. Raising himself up Keji notices another clone in a near by cave. Molding his chakra towards the cave Keji and weaves a single hand sign. This removes the most a piece of its ceiling collapsing the whole cave on top of the clone.

Looking back at Dean "The mud glob advantages are basically singular which is blinding the enemy. Its weakness is like you said linear and easy to dodge if given to much notice. With the collapsing jutsu it is great fro crushing one or more enemies at a single time. It can also be used to cover an escape or provide a make shift defensive wall. Disadvantages one must be out of the way as well as their team or else they would all be crushed. Also if you find yourself in a wide open area I don't believe this technique would work to well unless you're Uchiha Madara."

Descripton: The user will do one hand seal and cause nearby earth structures (either natural occurring ones on the field (such as cave ceilings, cliffs, etc), man made (buildings, etc) or jutsu made (up to C-Rank active structures)) to collapse and fall. This technique allows the ninja to control nearby stone and rock and dislodge any vulnerable or sensitive spots, causing the structure to collapse. This can be especially useful if in a cave or a stone lodging. The technique can loosen the rocks and cause them to come raining down on whomever is trapped inside. The damage depends on the size of the cavern or rock lodging above or nearby the target and not on the amount of chakra used which doesn't need to be high. A large cave with a thick ceiling can easily do the physical damage equivalent to an A-Rank technique but due to the damage not being focused or chakra fueled, its also easily defendable.

"Now, let's move on. The first technique starts off by forming the Tiger hand seal, and manipulating your Earth based chakra. You will then cause a river of mud to materialize beneath the opponent, and throw them off balance, or carry them away from the user. A very simple technique, and also creates a mud source. Use it against my clone."

"After that, you will form the Ram → Horse → Dragon hand seals, and concentrate your Earth based chakra into the mud you had just created. This allows you to create a dragon of mud (only its head though). This head is capable of firing mud bulets towards the opponent, and can be combined with Fire shots, to shoot a pseudo lava towards the opponent. A nice technique, but can only be used if you used the technique above, first. Use it against my clone."
