decent writer who actually started out pretty good but like most mangaka couldn't maintain the quality of his manga

I don't know anything about him personally, obviously, so I can't say how I feel about him, and I'm not his fan either, but I will still answer regarding his manga.

But just to give a little intake on how I feel about him, I think that he likes to mess with a lot of the fandom's heads and emotions. He has a way of twisting things and making it seem like one thing but it is a completely different other thing.

Now for his manga:
-He started off really good with his story. Everyone had their own way of doing things and people seemed much stronger than the MC. It was ninja oriented at the time and their weren't too many boring based battled with just screaming at the top of your lungs and throwing bombs like an idiot. It was skill and experience as well as being deceptive. That was what I got from watching/reading part 1. It was actually a masterpiece.

Shippuden became laugh worthy and the only thing I liked out of this whole second half was the Akatsuki and what Sasuke's intentions would finally be. I was also interested in seeing NaruSasu's final battle but I should have expected that it would be garbage and just rushed hype. We have Naruto and Sasuke who are gods who are kicking 40 year old ninjas asses when they are just 16/17 year old kids. FOH!

The dude went through hell throughout his life and it wasn't even his fault. Idiotic Leaf ninja not being smart and just killing random families and people because they can't seem to notice the difference between an enemy and a civilian.

Kishi has so many flaws and inconsistencies in his manga that it's to the point that many people just accept it without even questioning it.

However, he does draw really really well. His art is real in those Japanese streets. ^^

To be honest he was good, but his writing became subpar towards the end. (I believe they said it was around the time he changed editors) so anyway. The manga Naruto had a space in my life that wasn't terribly influential, but it held a space none the less.

Great author. There are problems with his story just like any other,i personally don't like the BZ/Kayguya ending but thats just me. Some characters could of used some more devolping but pretty good altogether.

Well, he isn't the best, but not the worst either. He did manage to write/draw one of the most popular manga series in the world, and he's been working pretty hard for all those years, so I guess I can respect him for that.
