[Question] Is the magu magu no mi superior to the moku moku no mi?

I don't think it should. Sure, it can extinguish the Mera Mera no mi but thts cos of the viscosity of lava and lava just had fire and earth. Wherever there is lava/fire there is smoke, so logically the Moku moku should remain unaffected by the Magu Magu as u cant really extinguish smoke can u?

I think we really need to ask Oda about this one point blank. It just makes no sense why Ace wouldn't have CoA. He had CoQ an extremely rare haki and he trained with Whitebeard who could have trained him in haki like Rayleigh did Luffy. He was a Logia in the new world which is known for eating Logia who rely on their intangibility, yet he survived. Some would say everybody was afraid to fight him since he had WB backing him but as a commander more often than not WB wasn't around the battle, that's the job of a fleet commander. I know Ace never showed CoA but I believe had he lived he'd have shown it. People might say then why didn't he use it at MF, the same reason he didn't go intangible, he sacrificed his body to save Luffy.

You know, I completely agree. This should be clarified. I personally believe he didn't have Haki for a number of reasons. For example, his dialogue with Teach. Saying things like, "How can he hurt me? I'm a logia" and him fighting smoker to a stand off because neither of them could hurt each other. But the opposite is equally debatable. But until then, Ace couldn't use Haki.

Agreed with until Oda says one way or another definitively, Ace has no CoA. I hold on to the belief that Ace was shown that way early on because Oda didn't want to tip off Haki that early. Yeah and Nami hitting Luffy? Early on I think it was more comedic relief, Oda may have always known he was gonna use it but I don't think he intended those scenes being actual hints. Also does that mean she'll unlock it as well since she was able to hit Luffy.
