Ok by distance I mean somewhere u can travel to by moving in a set direction. Planes are of a different type of distance.

Yes and no. Realities/Dimensions exist simultaneously with our own they overlap, run parallel to our own but almost never intersecting. So they are, in essence, occupying the same space but in a different reality. Where as the Universe can also exist in the same space but it can also be light-years away.

But I digress as we all know what you meant and yes it is an impressive feat to both:

Be able to sense a being in another dimension (Naruto)

Or see a being in another dimension (Sasuke)
