idk man NH was way more explainable than SS. sasuke and sakura literally had no past and sasuke has shown distaste for her since the beginning of team 7. sasukes explanation of what sakura felt for him right before he fights naruto is spot on. she was just a girl having fun at being in love.

NH on the other hand has some credibility. naruto never treated hinata bad in fact he was always nice even if he thought she was a bit weird. he cheered her on at the chuunin exams, she said she loved him and fought pain to protect him while the rest of the village just stood by and watched and while sakura just cried for someone to do something. she constantly tried to gain his recognition and in the war she finally got it and then they steadily built up a relationship and the rest is in the last.

NH was still rushed imo, Narusaku was consistent throughout the series.

narusaku would have been just as bad as SS. sakura constantly made fun of naruto and treated him like crap in part 1 and then she puts the burden of getting sasuke back on him while she did nothing. she constantly pushed this guy to go get the guy she wanted back all the while knowing that naruto cared for her.

she basically said "i will never love you as more than a friend so shut up and go fight to the death till you get the guy i really want to forcibly come back so i can stalk him again and hopefully be together"

Eh I still think that NH was a poorly developed relationship and the fact that they needed a movie to show some kind of progress tells me how just how under developed it was prior to the movie.
