It's the staff that did 378 (the one were ten tails obito goes into action). But, by taking into account the other titles, I think we can pretty much be safe to assume that this episode is gonna be covering chapter 667. Episode 419 should adapt 668 (it's called papa's youth and I suppose it will have something to do with gai's flashback). Our only hope is that episode 420 covers 669 (What we actually want to see) and will be animated by some of the best animators the studio has to offer.

Yumenosuke Tokuda's best episode was probably Kakashi Gaiden (#120)

HOWEVER he is now paired with an outsourced studio instead of Pierrot, that means thie episode will not be good.

I think it's taken from a line in chapter 666 where obito says "You'll be my backup kakashi". And also, most of the chapter (well, the part that hasn't been animated yet) revolves arround kakashi and obito teaming up against madara (the double kamui). So I guess it fits

Good point. I forgot that. This is the part of the series I try to forget, because I hated how Madara got taken out.

I could see them using filler flashbacks inside the cannon flashback. It's probably going to add more layers to Gai and his dad. If they add some filler to the fight sequences then I'm all on board.

For all those complaining about filler I want to put this out there. 1. The quality of animation depends on the amount of drawings in it and the quality of the drawings and selection of sequence and in between drawings. Put simply it takes a hell lot of work to produce high quality anime. Currently their best artists and animators are working on boruto the movie and have their attention there. Therefore instead of ruining important Canon material with poor quality animation, they make original story or "filler" for the weekly episode then will make high quality Canon animation when they can and aren't busy with the movie.
2. Even if they give us rubbish animation or filler forever we should still be eternally grateful. Most of the animators work 11 hours a day for $2-5 a drawing which results in a salary a child would struggle to live off and they work to the point of puking and sometimes need to go to hospital though if they need to be called in during th middle of the night to meet the deadline so be it. So be grateful and support the official franchise for any manga or anime

I don't understand , in the manga when the flashback ends between Gai's father. The fight starts , but here u can see the there's an episode called Rikodo Madara vs The Green Wild beast AFTER it there's an episode called Papa's Youth. WTF??

Btw if its Gai vs Madara before going 8 gates , why call a whole episode like this , in the manga it was one panel. -_- I DONT UNDERSTAND!!!!

And Min-Seop Shin? He's gonna animate a taijutsu fight? Wtf? Oh great T_T

That episode has one of the absolute, bottom of the barrel, worst animation jobs of any Shippuuden episode period. And now they are going to continue to screw up yet another really good action sequence/fight.
