Wasn't the sword marked by Shin. Shin Seal = chakra. Hence, the sword had some chakra on it. Yet Naruto could not sense it.

The sword is a kusanagi, which means it is stronger than mere metal. Kusanagi can tear through Mokuton easily and go toe to toe with Enma's Diamond stick form. Its sharpness also has a lot of databook hype.
The sword had to cross nearly zero distance to hit Naruto.

No, it's not. Sasuke lost his Kusanagi blade during the fight with Kaguya. What he has is a brand new sword.


Naruto's chakra cloak is not impervious to damage. He was burnt by lava before and injured by Juubi's tenpenchi and he admitted that a direct punch from A would be delibitating. He also sprained his ankle when he stomped too hard in punching Kisame.

KCM Naruto took those attacks. We are talking about Rikudo Sage Mode Naruto, who tanked Sasuke's Chidori. Tanked Chidori, but a sword pierced him with zero difficulty? Even if it were KCM Naruto. It's KCM Naruto using Sage Mode on top of that. Makes no sense for a regular blade to just run him through.

How do you block or dodge something you don't know is coming at point blank range?

This cloak should not be compared to a v2 cloak which produces so much chakra that the users skin is burnt off by the sheer amount and the user is in Yamato's words, a mini bijuu. Obviously that would give a greater protection. The markings on Naruto's body are the manifestations of his new seal, not kurama's chakra.

For those saying Naruto is weak and Sasuke is better:

If the blade was in Naruto's hand and Sasuke was the one getting the surprise stab, he would be dying and would need Naruto's yang healing powers to survive.

i think it still makes no sense, because the sword was right in front of him, he's shown to be far faster than what he showed in this chapter and naruto, sasuke, sarada and sasuke's sword were within a huge chakra cloak naruto made, naruto should be able to feel all movements within his chakra cloak

Look at sasuke's hand when he strikes. His fingers are open and not pointed. Meaning he is trying to electrocute him, which he did. Like when he used chidori on himself during deidara fight. Would you say base sasuke can tank chidori.

If sasuke were trying to pierce someone, this is what his hand would look like.

When did sasuke lose his sword? The case fell into the lava. Dont believe it was never shown when sasuke retrieved his sword after madara pulled it out from himself.

His fingers were stretched out and weren't curved when he tried to hit Naruto

To say he was trying to eletrocude him when he was clearly trying to kill him is a ridiculous thing to say

Scan isn't looking towards/into the sheath for that explanation.

When sasuke's sword is sheathed it comes slightly pass his arm, and without it sheathed it doesn't. That was just the case.

Ah. I see now. You're absolutely right on this point. Though my main point still stands since Sasuke's blade in Gaiden is different.
