It makes perfect sense for Naruto to get stabbed

He was not looking at Sasuke's sword, his eyes were facing the enemy.
The sword has no chakra so he could not sense it
The sword is a kusanagi, which means it is stronger than mere metal. Kusanagi can tear through Mokuton easily and go toe to toe with Enma's Diamond stick form. Its sharpness also has a lot of databook hype.
The sword had to cross nearly zero distance to hit Naruto.

How do you block or dodge something you don't know is coming at point blank range?

Naruto's chakra cloak is not impervious to damage. He was burnt by lava before and injured by Juubi's tenpenchi and he admitted that a direct punch from A would be delibitating. He also sprained his ankle when he stomped too hard in punching Kisame.

This cloak should not be compared to a v2 cloak which produces so much chakra that the users skin is burnt off by the sheer amount and the user is in Yamato's words, a mini bijuu. Obviously that would give a greater protection. The markings on Naruto's body are the manifestations of his new seal, not kurama's chakra.

For those saying Naruto is weak and Sasuke is better:

If the blade was in Naruto's hand and Sasuke was the one getting the surprise stab, he would be dying and would need Naruto's yang healing powers to survive.

This thank you! I don't understand why people are talking shit about Naruto and Sasuke, who cares if they're not up to God like standards, they have both been pretty much MIA for 15 years, and besides this mini series is not about seeing Naruto and Sasuke bomb every ***** they see, other wise this manga would be over in a panal.

I don't have a problem with Narutos cloak not being able to block Sasukes sword. It actually makes perfect sense to me. But people aren't saying that the stabbing shows how "bad" Naruto has gotten for no reason. The manga (Kurama and Naruto) itself tells us that, implying that this wouldn't have happened to the Naruto from back in the day.

And no, I don't agree with the last part. I do believe that Sasuke would have dodged the attack as he seems to be still in very good shape due to being on journey and all. He even improved his Amenotejikara as it seems. But to each his own.

Kurama was surprised how much the stabbing affected Naruto: nearly keeling over, losing concentration on the bijuu avatar. That was the weakness he talked about.

Sasuke wouldn't have seen anything. Sharingan can't read what it isn't looking at and Sasuke isn't a sensor by any stretch of the imagination. Even Sasuke was shocked by what happened. He was just lucky Shin didn't make the sword stab him instead.

Nah, this proves that if sasuke had his sword back in vote2 the result would've changed.

The seal is as big as his head and shoving at him, but no it was not big enough to see it...
And if the man him self couldnt sense something is in his hand how do you expect him to react in time ??

You talked about the bijuu cloak but you didn't mention anything about sage mode.

People seem to forget naruto had both of his best defenses up (bijuu cloak and Sage mode) yet a un-enhanced sword negg both at the same time.

Doesn't make sense to me when we've seen what both the bijuu cloak and sage mode has tanked in the past.

He couldn't have hit Sasuke the same way he did Narutom He was able to hit Naruto easily due Sasuke being right infront of him. All he had to do was move the sword backwards.

He'd have to move the sword in a completely different way in order to even attempt to stab it through Sasuke, so Sasuke would have time to react.

I thought Naruto would have shrugged it off until the next panel.

Sasuke was inside his cloak and he even said he wasn't expecting Sasuke to have his sword be controlled

He analyzed the villain's ability before the stab

He can sense the villain's intent otherwise he wouldn't be able to stop jutsu like Amaterasu

Sasukes susanoo being destroyed by Kaguya proves if he used unrivalled strength the fight would've ended in a panel

Amaterasu involves chakra being gathered and expelled .
