Those scales don't come from the hilt, even if they did the threads just might be flexible enough to just fit to whatever shape samehada tries to become. But yeah the hilt only has those small blades my man.

It has not shown to flex that long, and if it flexes longer Kakuzu adds more threads .-. and it would be easier to maneuver the threads around the scales if its longer. This is literally going to take 5 seconds to accomplish Samehada gets thrown.
