Hashirama , Tobirama and Minato died fighting, so its unlikely when they were revived, they would be Rusty. Hiruzen however notes that he must be on his toes.

Naruto and Saske loosing battle awareness in a decade is surprising if Madara did not loose it in so much time. Makes me feel that the true genius in the manga were only Hashirama and Madara and not Naruto and Sasuke,even though they were more powerful.

Sword piercing makes least sense of all. Kurama did not rust. So why did his cloak ? In fact Kurama got stronger if anything
