Think about it, Madara's last fight was in vote with hashirama, after that madara grew old, connected himself to the gedo statue to keep himself alive and grew even older then died around the time kakashi was a teen, all that time without fighting not even once. how many years is that?

madara lasted from around the time konoha got founded all the way to the 4th ninja war with out fighting once, did u hear madara complaining about being rusty? nah he proceeded to neg people's favorites non stop.


naruto and sasuke go a few years without fighting and get beaten by swords and little blades.

By that point he was rusty, then he died so that Time doesn't count. Then he was revived in his prime not old age. If he was revived old, he would still be rusty.

You don't know what being rusty is do you ? It doesn't only applies your physical abilities. Thats not what combat is all about. Naruto and Sasuke also had a fit body, even better considering they still physically at their prime yet they were worse than their teen performences. What got rusty wasn't their muscle but their battle senses.

IT is very big different btw somebody living at peace and suddently get involved into a fight - even still he was stood in same spot for the whole fight and believe in his friend to do the job - but who know that rinnegan user failed hard ???
Sasuke has 0 excuses of his failure, he has spending quite of time as His awful fan tried to prove for the past few weeks that he trained a lot - still failed to hold a sword properly - failed to see somebody doing seal on your sword in closed combat, despite of having ems&rinnegan - failed to capture enemy in one glance, despite of training for decade (this one his fan had been proved).

But dont worry, we know that Naruto character always let us some surprise later when he is going to do the job himself..
Because Kishi failed to do something about that "trash" so he has to redeem himself for making her some revelant, otherwise "trash" stayed in the cabin...
