The nerf is real in this mini-series

-Sasuke has abilities(super speed and flight) to help him communicate with his family and still do the mission. But doesn't use them.

-BM Naruto gets stabbed by a sword. Even though a much weaker version of him tanked Orochimaru's sword without a scratch.

-Sasuke doesn't use Susanoo to block the weapons coming at Sarada. Instead he uses his own body.

-Bald guy can see attacks coming from behind with the eyes all over his head. Yet somehow Sakura is able to sneak up on him a few pages later.

The plot no jutsu is on steroids.

I totally forgot about 4 tail naruto completely stopping oro's kusanagi blade yet somehow nine tail naruto couldn't stop sasuke's regular blade in his cloak mode. Wow!! I thought there was major nerfing before I even realized that.

Nah, the sword's sheath fell to the lava.

the actual sword disappeared after madara pulled it out of his chest, trust me I was searching the sword myself from panel to panel but to no avail

The only one I'll give you is Sasuke not using Susano'o and maybe Naruto being stabbed.

2- The version that fought Orochimaru was ready to fight, Naruto's fighting edge has dulled since no one has given him a challenge in the last however many years. He probably would have forgotten he could be hurt based on how thick headed his character is.

I'll go back and double check but I'm pretty sure he told everyone in that room, who all agreed, not to tell ANYONE about his mission. That means no contact and no telling his family.

It's not affecting his durability, the attack essentially did nothing as Naruto will heal fine. It wasn't meant to show he's weaker just that he's rusty, Naruto should have been able to sense and stop the blade but since he hasn't had a fight let alone a challenge in the past 10-ish years he's not as quick as he was in the war.

Again I'll re-check but I though debris came flying when she punched him. You were right about being outside, idk why I thought they were in a cave.
